Harry Kane MBE

Emirates Marketing Project clearly haven't got the cash, and player + cash deals are haaard (Lamela/Gil...I know)

Wonder whether Levy might try to agree, in writing, something with Kane about a release clause for next summer of say £100m - if the Spanish clubs are back able to afford players then, and Lewandowski is a furher year nearer retirement, Harry might get a move then?

Why are player + cash deals so much harder? As long as you've got a player willing to move away from a team to another? Say someone like Jesus. I'm not a massive fan of him, but he hasn't played all that much for City, if we let them get Kane, he knows he'd get play time for us - it's not beyond the scope of possibility that he'd want to go to us. All it takes is willingness from the selling club, buying club and the player, like with any regular transfer.

Newbie here and what a day to join!

Having read all your comments I thought I'd introduce myself and try and be diplomatic towards everyone and Kane.

I have been a season ticket for 26 years now and I've seen the likes of Berbatov, Keane, Defoe, Sheringham, Klinsmann etc and whilst I have seen all of them leave us I not once thought Kane would stoop this low and not turn up to training to force a move away from the club.

My question to Kane would be, if he believes he is world class and in the top 3 strikers in the world and deserves to be winning trophies with the likes of City, then why does he think he is worth £100m per his interview with Neville?

He has terrible advisors and today, if true, is not the right way to go about things as he will lose the respect of the fans he so call loves and the club, plus he is the England captain and would be setting such a bad example to everyone including the children that idolise him.

There's no smoke without fire but if this is true then Kane should hold his head in shame for his actions.
Welcome, it's a good board to be on

Be careful Mr Kane even the most steadfast Tottenham supporters will not take the tinkle being taken out of them

I mean... Bale was welcomed back and he did the whole not turning up to training to get his move, Modric went on strike (twice) and gets mostly love from the fanbase from what I can tell, Keane went on strike after being tapped up and he was back at the club within a fudging year, him and Berbatov (went on strike also) even came to the WHL finale event and got loudly cheered as they entered the pitch.

I think we're incredibly forgiving tbh.

None of them are Harry, we hoped for better from H
We must wait though and hear Harry’s side of today’s happenings.

welcome lad!

If it wasnt true, you'd assume he or one of his team would have corrected things

Either way, great player but one who might conceivably only have 3-4 years left in him given his size and ankle. If we get £150m, whether in cash or players, its a good deal for us

Can’t argue with that.

Do you think there’s more to his side of the story than him and his dippy brother, likely with a nudge from City doing all they can to get Levy to drop a substantial amount of money from his asking price?

To me it’s pretty clear - Emirates Marketing Project won’t pay what we want; Levy won’t sell unless he gets what he wants; Kane realises this and is frantically trying to create leverage. I’m surprised that so many people are that surprised that Kane is capable of that.

He is completely and utterly desperate and desperate people do desperate things. Things must be extremely tense in the Kane household at the moment, as he’s been totally stitched up by the deal his brother negotiated. Kane (Harry), also, should have foresaw things had the potential to go south pretty quickly given the pressure the stadium was putting on things.

He obviously has some affection for us and the club, but his future means more to him, which is completely his prerogative. I would’ve got upset about this a few years ago, but it’s the way of the world. As some have said - support the club, not the players.

Get a deal that suits us best and onwards!

he will just come out with some spiel that delicately puts the blame on Levy.

he’s decided to force things and wouldn’t of taken that choice lightly.

we need to handle this situation carefully because city may well leave Harry high and dry and we may need to reintegrate him as quickly as possible for the benefit of our season.

Angry we should be, but let’s not close off the pathway to redemption.

Personally, I have no problem in Kane wanting to leave, heck if he does not want to be here he can go. However, Emirates Marketing Project need to make an acceptable offer, and while £100m may be good enough for Grealish it is certainly not good enough for Kane.

I don't think anyone would begrudge him a move after the years of service he has given us - there's ways of going about it though and with 3 years left on his deal he needs to realise the ball is in our court - City pay what we want or he has to suck it up another season

If there is any reality to the “not turning up”-stuff and Kane has thrown his toys out of the pram, I’ll be very cross with him indeed! I might even raise my voice half an octave.

It keeps baffling me how some players seems to think they’ve “earned” the right to leave at any price, or a price at their own liking, after first signing (and demanding) a contract making them top earners in a club. (And in Kanes case, even expanding the wage structure we had).

I’m sorry, sunshine! It doesn’t work that way! If you slap your chest and claim high wages since you are the clubs most valuable asset, you also have to accept that the club will protect said asset, and demand their valuation met!

It may just be ITK gonads, but I don't think they're far off. "100 million and you can go" doesn't sound like something Levy would say though.

Dragon 1 on COYS re “The Gentleman’s Agreement.”

He had a gentleman’s agreement last summer he could go if offer over 100 came and we were not in the cl

we rejected city’s bid of 100 a month ago and Harry has been sulking since

daniel will dig his heels in now no way will they force a move for 100 now

150-160 we may have a conversation but will be under our terms

expect Harry to be fined two weeks wages

Hercules:

With the super utmost respect to Dragon! We promised if any club in the world matched our own market valuation, we would not stand in his way. Funny thing is; Emirates Marketing Project offered various lists of players and cash, to the value of 100m LOL. Then they spoke about different proposals, but to now didn’t offer 100m cash, which would have been rejected out of hand!!!

Sounds like it's not just smoke.

I’ve regularly read Spurs fan say he owes us nothing…. I mean he is literally getting paid £200k a week to play football for us, so he does owe us a lot actually
