Sadly I agree - The whole "Kane needs a rest" media bandwagon is yet again just hyperbole. Poch knows who needs a rest and when.

He was fine on Sunday and scored! We will miss him big time....
 
Last season, when people said Harry was tired, I didn't agree. He wasn't scoring, but it was more bad luck, he was playing well.

This season, he has been "leggier" imo. However, against Sunderland, it seemed more like the Harry we know. He got around the pitch well, knocked it past people a few times, held it up, decent passing. And of course, he scored.

As long as he gets over this injury with no problems, I have no worries about Harry.

I agree with your general point, if he really did need a rest I have no doubt Poch would - there are no passengers or half fit players in our first eleven.

However I must say he hasn't looked that sharp this season, and I don't think a couple of weeks out would be the worst thing in the world - obviously months is a different kettle of fish....

I'm not a big Harry fan! But he now has my total, if at first begrudging admiration, as he proved me totally wrong (yes another player to add to the growing list). My wife always takes the mick out of me, as Harry's shows his excellent and continuing form for us and puts the ball in the net.
So no "spurs tinted glasses" he with me, as @parklane1 so eloquently put it!

Harry was excellent on Sunday 'IMHO' and will be sorely missed in every game he is absent!
 
He looked buoyed by the goal. He'd got the monkey off his back and looked ready to kick on, throwing himself around like a mf. But then got injured doing so! Janssen needs to lead the line, establish himself too, we need to support him, and give him some time.

Yes and he'll have tonnes of pressure too. So the crowd need to get some perspective. 22, new league, etc. He's not Soldado, he will come good, but like Lamela, Son he might need time. I'm hoping he bangs in a few goals. But we need to be patient, we don't buy ready made, and when we did - Soldado - it didn't work out.

But he's a fighter. Fought his way back to the top tier in Holland. He can finish, despite what we've seen! He is very much like for like for Kane. A player who is smart and has worked his way up. Not blessed with amazing ability from a young age, but one who constantly works on his game. If just keeps doing this, the goals will come.

As did Van Neistroy, Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder. Not sure how that changes anything. Point is Janssen is like Kane. A young player who applies himself, and should come out ontop, not because of his great skill from a young age, but because of his intelligence and application - hard work.

Wesley scored the last goal I saw Holland score. But they are all from a much richer dutch footballing era.

our struggles were our own making. Sunderland are poor atm and the table and their performances reflect it. Thats not me being roostery, its just the reality.

Some people will only be happy if we are beating everyone 6-0 and converting all of our chances. If we scrape by with a 1-0 against a team in 'crisis' like Sunderland they will say 'it's only Sunderland' and that we've only played 5 games so where we are in the table doesn't matter (unless we weren't third and were 10th, in which case it would be crisis Poch out time).
