I've never understand the hype behind Ederson, I don't think he's a particularly good keeper. He has great feet and is a decent sweeper but when it comes to the fundamental ie. Saving shots he's nothing better than average.

I've seen people try to compare him to Neuer and that is just bonkers.

Neuer is just as good technically AND an amazing shot stopper, Víctor Valdés just as good technically and a better stopper for me as well.

Kinsky let one in that was very similar against the Scousers ( Gakpo).
It was a very good save.

Oh is because you said Ederson was the best footballing keeper you had seen and Neuer was better than Ederson ever was and was a great keeper as well. Valdes was the old Barca keeper 07-2014 ISH. Fantastic with his feet and not a bad shot stopper either, better than Ederson imo as well.

Ederson is so good with the ball
The rest of his game is average at best
Neur has no where near the same ability anymore that he had IMO
Valdes I remember but don’t remember how he played

You haven't watched enough of Neuer. He could have played cm for a top club.

Ok I misread that, you mean currently. Sure. But at peak Neuer was a better ball player, passer, controller etc than Ederson.

Valdes was the Pep prototype keeper, great with the ball at his feet, great range of passing etc.

I vaguely remember Valdes but the ball when they played was owned by the midfield

I’ve seen loads of neur - live too. Went to see Bayern Hamburg years again and he came out, beat a man and tried another but lost I for for a throw in. It was the great German genius Lewis holtby who took the throw in for Hamburg and neur was back pedalling and very lucky….
He was class. That accident IMO has changed his game and also his mentality of how and when he comes now. He also isn’t as quick as you would expect with age
