Grealish

Son rarely dribbles past anyone, maybe beats them for pace but often when he has the ball out wide he loses it, puts in a poor cross or get tackled. I don't recall many (if any times) when he genuinely dribbled round players. He beats plenty for pace on the counter but that's not the same thing.
Indeed. Grealish beats players with skill, Son doesn’t really do that and is more about pace....

GREALISH SET FOR VILLA EXIT?

Jack Grealish’s departure from Aston Villa will move a step closer tomorrow as the club’s top brass choose who stays and who goes from Villa Park this summer.

As concerns over Villa’s perilous financial state continue, Steve Bruce will receive details of his annual transfer and wage budget - and with it, the likelihood that his £30m-rated midfielder - will need to be sold to help balance the books.

Tomorrow’s meeting will be chaired by the club’s acting deputy chief executive Luke Organ - who has taken control of the day-to-day running of the club since the suspension of CEO Keith Wyness - a story brought to you first by Sky News’ Mark Kleinman last Tuesday.

Sky Sports News understands Wyness has begun legal proceedings against Villa. His lawyers are understood to have contacted the championship club late last week with details of a claim for constructive dismissal. Although suspended as an employee, the club were unable to sack Wyness as a member of their board, because of his duties as a director. However, Wyness is understood to have stood down as a director over the weekend.

It’s believed Wyness and club owner Dr Tony Xia, who has remained in Beijing since their play-off defeat to Fulham, fell out over the potential sale of a number of club assets, aimed at keeping the club afloat.

Nice video but he's not really dribbling past players very often there, mostly a little trick to make a bit of room for something. It's telling that when he does that very few of them lead to anything as his crossing is fairly poor. I rate him highly but I just don't think he's a dribbler. His good games are amazing, top draw but when he plays badly it's very badly and seems there's no inbetween.

Luke Organ is a slightly unfortunate name

40 mil punt?
No way.
Surely, at most, a deal that could be headlined as £30 million when it consists of a few clauses and spreads the fee payment out. Villa aren't in the strongest of positions as per recent posts.

Possibly but don't we have better academy prospects? Or better yet cheaper alternatives to save the money for the bale bid lolz ....

Agreed galeforce. Stick Eriksen or Alli in the Championship and they would tear it to pieces.
Or even Dembele, Wanyama, hell even Siss...well, maybe not him. But any of our footballers would tear up the Championship.

£40m would be crazy imo. That’s nearly half of what people are saying Bale would go for.

Even £20m is risky.

I liked Grealish when he was really on form for a few months in the prem. But not sure he’s shown enough consistency, fitness or desire for that money.

<£20m do it. Otherwise he can sit next to Ross Barkley for the next couple years.
