Obviously works for him as he plays off scratch !!
I might try it down the range next time I go
 
Played at Renfrew g c this afternoon, was a member there an will probably rejoin next year.
Only my second proper round in a couple of years, having some left sided muscle issues as well but scored a reasonable 89.
It's a tough track, former open qualifying course so all things considered I'm fairly satisfied with that.
Putted beautifully.
Really trying to get back to my golf, but it's a struggle at the moment. Two weeks off coming up and I want to get a good few games in.
Coming down to London to do the dare walk and been looking around for some where for a game. Looking at porters park at radlett, anyone know it?

I live not to far from there . Porters Park is a lovely track. Played it once very well kept.
Not local but also not miles away try Old Fold Manor in Barnet that’s a top notch track. They hold some pretty big PGA events there . I would highly recommend it .
 
Casey has now joined LIV
So if the 1st event had 48 with lots of no marks in it
Since then about 6 higher profile players have joined but the field for the 2nd event still only had 48 in it
So have the lesser players been pied off already ??

Thanks i'll check that out as well.
Staying at Borehamwood and wanting a game in the morning before we tackle the dare walk that evening.

Porters Park can be hard to get on for Non Members in the AM .
Few tracks local to Borehamwood that are nice .
Old Fold Manor
Mill Hill
Aldenham
Porters Park
The Shire
Hadley


and if you can’t get on any of them try Hertsmere but as a last resort it’s not the nicest.
Hope you find a decent place to play .
 
My new clubs turned up today . Look lovely . Completely new as thicker grip . .75 of inch longer . Stiffer shaft .

I did not hit them well .Not close to how I hit them in the fitting.
I know we don’t swing it perfectly every time but I’ve worked hard on it and try put it in same positions consistent enough.

Marky I know you’ve recently been fitted , how was your transition to new clubs ? Did the adjustment period take a bit ?

Yes a good while
Now roughly 8 months on (probably 20 rounds or so) I feel totally at ease with my new clubs

Ta for the reply . Suppose I better go get a tune up with the coach I use here and there . Longer clubs etc probably need some swing tweaks as built my swing on using clubs that were to short for me . Some serious range time coming before I get out course .

Playing Epping Forest end of the month with our society . Heard it’s not all that .
 
Moans about slow play, well stop the has beens playing and cut the field.
Duval and calc double digits over par, time to stop the parade and look at the exemption time limits.

I thought that as well, it's absolutely pointless them playing

I played 18 this morning, total mixed bag
Driving 6/10
Approach Play 3/10
Pitching/Chipping 9/10
Putting 9/10

Stop for two weeks today, really hoping to get 4 or 5 games in, if the weather improves! Game has hone to pot last few years due to not playing.
