Colin Montgomerie is getting used to winning these big events.

The Scotsman defeated Gene Sauers in a playoff to claim the U.S. Senior Open title Sunday at Oak Tree National.

Montgomerie failed to win in 71 PGA Tour majors and four Champions Tour majors until May, when he won the Senior PGA Championship. Now, he has won two of his past three majors to become just the fifth golfer to win both the Senior PGA Championship and U.S. Senior Open in the same year

Rose has been absolutely brilliant this week, especially today, he has a big big chance next week

Not for me now. He has won twice, chances of winning again are slim at best. He will more than likely place though so i decent e/w bet.

There is some good value out there, ill take a closer look today as to who ill be putting my money on but Jiminez generally does well as opens. GMac played well last week. Kaymer is an obvious choice.

Hoylake isnt long and isnt the toughest of Open layouts so its anyones game.

Loved Monty winning last night, a top man, a bit like me when it comes to golf; overweight, hits a cut/fade, awesome tee to green, not the best short game and a short temper with people who cant stand still or be quiet when im hitting my shot.

Wind picking up, course becoming firmer along with the greens, even the top players struggling to hold it with short irons..

Will be a great watch over the next few days

Take a bow Rory, fantastic golf, huge drives, radar like approaches and good putting....

Been great watching him today, fantastic golfer

66, 66 awesome golf

The Open Championship will employ a two-tee start for the first time in its history because of the risk of thunderstorms on Saturday.

Play is scheduled to start at 09:00 BST from both the first and 10th tee, with the field split into groups of three rather than two.

It is hoped that will allow the round to be completed on schedule even if there are delays of up to five hours.

No wind at all and some rain, could defo be a low scoring day again today if it doesnt rain too much, early starters are whacking in the birdies

6 shot lead for Rory, a 68 today, played some great golf again especially when his lead was threatened early on...

Surely a shoe in for his 3rd major, all by a huge margain

Great to watch today

Those questioning the 2 tee early start today, this is now the 7th green

we have all surely played in worse in winter? : )

38 points today, missed a 6ft birdie putt on the last to get down to 4hcp.. gutted.

Rory aside, the pros were making it look very difficult out there today. Peter Allis really is a boring old **** who has not idea about golf past 1985... ruins the Open for me, every year.
