But would he replace any of those three at the moment? He does look skillful but is he really that much better or different to what we already have or would we be spending £16m on more of the same?

£16,000,000 in a position we need? yes.

At least he can beat a man. I don't think anyone but Kane can actually do that out of our front 4.
 
The thing that also worries me about that video is that a lot of what you see is counter attacking footage. Would he be so dangerous with a possession first team.
 
Tuttosport understand Tottenham have contacted the entourage of Fernando Llorente about signing the striker.
 
I would give up if we signed him.. done with football. First stage was cancelling Sky before holiday, Biggest statue of the lot. Hopefully its Italians hyping up in order to get someone to bite. Looked totally out of his comfort everytime I saw him play last year.

I like Clasie but Schneiderlin does a lot more tackling than he does.

Would be a good option if we can't get our first choice.

Read: Llorente's entourage wants people to think he has lots of offers and now is the time for other clubs to make their move, when in reality he's nowhere near a deal at a big club or on big enough wages.

He will be on big wages, he was signed as a bosman.

That's true, and the stats bear you out on that, but it's not for lack of trying, as most reports about him (And that Youtube vid) leave one in little doubt about his willingness to get stuck in and his tireless energy. I'd suggest that that facet of his game can be improved on over time, in a manner much like how Modric became magnificent at standing interceptions over the four years he spent here. But his passing abilities, ferocious energy and football intelligence: those are traits I'd suggest are much harder to replicate over time, and together merit a much closer look at him.

Anyway, to a put a few possible negatives out there: a Dutch guy on the Saintsweb forum who's apparently also an avid follower of Feyenoord mentioned that his fitness was an issue (i.e, he didn't have the lungs to run up and down for ninety minutes and thus just ran around ahead of the defense), and that this issue contributed to him being unable to a) score goals, and b) contribute more effectively to halting Feyenoord's end-of-season slide, even though you could apparently tell that he was desperate to influence games more.

Poch's system takes a heavy toll, fitness wise, so perhaps it's something to consider as well.

I do wonder if a lot of English clubs are waiting for the Greece bail out to end tomorrow to see if the value of the Euro collapses. Thus making any deals cheaper.

Apparently the Euro is at its weakest since 2007.

It means that today £500 will buy around €710, whereas this time last year the sum would have fetched just €596.
