General Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

5 years ago I'd have taken Honda in a heartbeat, but not now. Anyway, moving on. I think things will move on more swiftly after this weekend. I believe that the clubs of whatever players we are after, have thought that we were desperate to get them before the season starts and t0aht would make us pay over the top, but I think Poch and the club are in no rush at all and confident of starting the season as we are, and once the selling clubs realize that, I think transfers will happen, and to a price we are more happy with.

Inter have been hawking him around everyone trying to get rid of him 6 months after buying him for 16m euros. That tells you all you need to know - he's been beyond terrible for them.

Not quite, he said "We have our target. I think in the next few days something happen."

I.e. we have identified our target and he thinks (but doesn't know) that in the next few days "something" will happen i.e. we might make a move or we might fail... or we might sign someone... or we might buy some pizza

Yeah but the only players we've been recently linked to that seem viable and keep coming up are Werner, N'Jie and Berahino. Of the three Berahino doesn't seem close at all, seems like Werner is nowhere either but the French press think N'Jie is close to joining us.

what other itk has said its berahino since pochettino announced that? - i was merely putting 2+2 together. who else would it be? West brom have just smashed their transfer record with Rondon and have also signed Lambert. berahino is ours.
