Fixture & Ticket News 2015/16

You can already route out those ST holders selling tickets via the Stub Hub info. You could say anyone selling tickets for more than half of games isn't eligible to apply for away tickets for instance but it's difficult and no one system would benefit all. I'd like to see 5 or 10% of the away allocation reserved for members as the best solution, would guarantee around 300 tickets at least for members if the 10% was used and the team had a stadium capacity of at least 30K. There's some members who probably go to more games than ST holders but are still on the list, I mean to have 500+ points as a member is quite a lot.

We're the same. just under 500 ourselves, but this season that hasnt helped too much

I did suggest something similar earlier in this thread. They should keep back 300-500 of the away allocation for members so that they are always able to attend imho and are rewarded for their on going loyalty from earlier in the season.

Loyalty should be rewarded I agree but not for one season

I honestly think it should just be on loyalty points full stop And that would now make it harder for me as I lose a big chunk every year and can't get away tickets now because the threshold is higher

The way to balance the season ticket is to give season tickets hollers the points at the begging of the seasons for the games ahead on a like for like basis as they do and maybe some bonus points for being a season ticket holder

Should be no more than 20% of the games resold or you lose your ticket

The system is there just in case not for profiteering

I agree, ST holders should have their loyalty points changed slight in order to balance against what Members get. In fact it should be uniform. Then give a percentage of all away allocations over to members to give both sets of our support a chance to actually keep going to these regardless of what is at stake.

I don't agree it should be be given as a split

It should simply be on loyalty point full stop so your rewarding real loyalty

But what your saying is a good compromise

Ah I understand so if you are a ST holder you don't actually get a priority its just straight points? I guess that could work but could possibly be an issue with ST holders and I understand why. I think a 15%-20% hold back for members is a good compromise. so for a 3,000 offering for a league game away members would get 450-600 tickets and for a league cup semi at say Man Utd where you would be offered say 9,000 tickets overall then members would be guaranteed between 1,350 and 1,800 which to me values support as members whilst rewarding ST holders for the idea of loyalty and their stumping up in advance etc

ST and members loyalty points being uniform is a good idea, it would also allow LP to be kept when a member becomes a season ticket holder and even vice versa.

Perhaps ST holders could get an extra 10pts (or something) when they renew, in recognition of paying up front.

And then possibly away tickets could just be on LP regardless of ST/Member status.

These are all brilliant suggestions. Sadly they are far too sensible and will never be entertained by the Club

We need to do something about priorities for CL home games too. We can't have JCLs getting tickets for glamour ties when they haven't done the hard yards previously.
The demand last time out was unprecedented - I expect the same next year too.

If we do qualify, it sounds likely they will be played at Wembley next season which at least opens it up to another 10k-15k fans which should ease that problem.
My worry is going to be getting a ticket for the final home match next May. If we thought it was bad getting a ticket for AC Milan, Real Madrid and next weeks match, you aint seen nothing. The demand for the last ever match at WHL will exceed anything we have ever seen. If ever a league match should go to Loyalty Points it is going to be that one.

Told the story a few times. But I do know of a person who had never even been to WHL, bought a cut-price membership in the January and boom! got a ticket for AC Milan in the February!

Definitely. It is something that should be put to the club via the trust or whoever really. Real Madrid and AC Milan at home were absolutely mental and Southampton at home next week was crazy online wise and that's why I went down in person where there was still 75-100 people in person at the TO. They definitely need to look at the final home game, the Arsenal game and any knockout European game in this capacity imo. I hope they don't play CL games at Wembley next year, I want our final season at WHL to be graced with those fixtures and nights like 2010-11.

Incidentally, I don't remember having a massive problem getting tickets for Young Boys, Werder Bremen or Twente at home. Inter was a different kettle of fish though although I was only after 1 single ticket for my brother as I was going to be away at the time of that fixture which guts me to this day!!!!

You're bang on the money, it wasn't. Obviously Inter Milan was a fantastic night that will still take some beating, but tbh I loved the Young Boys match, early goal got the crowd rocking 4-0 win, and hearing the the iconic music played at the Lane for the first time, cracking night

Yes and I'm a season ticket holder so it would detrimental to me but if it's fair then so be it

I know members with 300 points who couldn't get a ticket to certain games as they all went to season ticket holders with less points - how is that fair

The only caveat is that a seaosn ticket as a minimum must get the same amount of points you would get for going to all the home games as a member

Well I left 2/3 minutes early last night and someone yelled at me, "Guess you'll return for the next title challenge then. Where were you last season?" Plenty of suspected fickleness about that's for sure, I had a genuine reason to leave early yesterday.

Who cares when you leave! You've paid YOUR MONEY and go when you like, were probably the same macarons who were moaning in October. I've supported this club for 60 years next season and have gone to games when I want and don't have to explain myself to any poor sod who's got no life outside a group of blokes playing a game. Fan hooliganism was terrible in the 70's, luckily I missed most of that as I was playing but I find the current trend of toxic bile thrown round by groups of fans as almost worse, this is helped by social media and goading driven by p*** poor journalism.

I think that it is fair to be honest, season ticket holders do make a massive commitment to the club and so they should be prioritized.

Thing was it was impossible to get tickets this season for away games due to the success we have had.

This is my first year as a season ticket holder and I was no where near getting a sniff in for west ham and chelsea away.

Whereas previous seasons I used to be able to get tickets easily on my membership.

Our game against you lot is now sold out.

If any of you that did manage to get a ticket in the home end no longer wants or needs them let me know as I know a few looking for a ticket.
