Financial Results 2024-2025

From what I can gather financially we're still pretty well run (low interest on debt, wages to turnover etc) but we've basically wasted a huge amount on transfers with many of those in installments so we'll still be paying them off in a few years time. Amazing how much we've wasted - £120m on Richie and Solanke for example whilst the squad is still really inbalanced lacking people in certain positions and also not geared towards any specific playing style either. We're going to need to recoup a fair bit yet also spend a fair bit, probably 2-3 years away from having a squad that can push for CL.

So for the not so clever fans, what does this mean regarding spending in future?
We carry on. Trying to buy more hits than misses (not just to make the team better but to shift on for big bucks). And hoping we find a manager that sticks. (And provides added value all by himself)

Same as most clubs. Just with a £94m revenue stream most clubs don't have.

Crooked Joe Lewis’ nepo-babies might find it a tad more difficult to secure further loans against the club’s future earnings in order to fund Vinai & Lange’s transfer dealings…

sell our best players
I dunno who those might be. I don't see many that are really gonna pull in biggish fees, or fees significantly in excess of what we paid for them in the first place.

That's the problem with struggling on the pitch, it makes your players undesirable.

Some snippets from the latest TH Stadium accounts show how important premium revenue is to the club as it brings in more than general admission fans for PL matches and it would seem at £32.5 million concerts/NFL etc not the massive earner that some would believe.

Are you sure that's what premium revenue means. Why wouldn't some of that be included in PL gate receipts?.

The 'other revenue' I assume is just that, revenue.... without operation cost deductions? :(

Really don't know how they work out premium revenue just guessing but if you go on the fact that there are 42,000 general admission season ticket holders the average being paid per ST when you take into account concessions for senior citizens and juniors is probably around the £1000 mark so that would bring in PL receipts of £42 million a season that works out at £2.2 million match for ST holders
Don't think I have ever seen a premium seat at lower than around £300 some much higher , there are 8,000 in the stadium if they all sold at £300 that would bring in £2.4 million a game.

All guess work

It would be great to see a cost benefit analysis of the amount of additional capital spend required to have a stadium with a retractable pitch versus the additional other revenue that we are able to bring in from the 'other' events. Considering that we would be able to have the off season events anyway as well as some of the in season events, I'm not convinced it was worth it, especially when you consider our high operational costs (wonder how much of that £32.5m of revenue ends up being eaten up by costs?

I think the owners were chasing the impossible dream of an NFL franchise that they thought would make them even wealthier than they already are.

I'm a complete amateur when it comes to accounts but it's sort of fun trying to work out things, when you go into the overall company accounts of TH Limited for the whole business , other revenue is £77.3 million as opposed to the £32.5 million shown under TH Stadium accounts yet both put some or all of this revenue down to non-football events, I'm sure Collecott can explain it all. The most important thing is that covers the interest on the stadium debt which I think is just below £30m. Basically on a day to day basis the cost of building the stadium is not currently hurting us as the non football revenues from it cover it.
That is 'revenue' and not 'profit'. The revenue we take from other events at the stadium will also have costs involved.
