I have no doubt Levy has more say in signings than AVB. Which is wrong to an extent.
If true it is very very wrong his only influence should be to say the price range and wages of a player we can afford.

Managers are just as expendable as players. A change of manager can improve us short term AND keep us on track for our long term goals.
I look at the success of certain clubs and you have to ask, do you need a long term manger for success anymore, even if you look at our past 4
- BMJ, got us into Europe for the first time in decades, established us as "best of rest"
- Ramos, won us a cup
- Harry, got us CL, made us entertaining, kept us as CL place contenders
- AVB, got us record PL points total, broke a few more poor records (results against bigger teams)
Maybe the question is has changing any of them significantly hurt the club, vs. the lift they gave us and vs. the risk of continuing in their particular slumps.
He's had 80 games to prove himself. The football has been uninspiring throughout that period. If it hadn't been for Bale bailing him out time after time last season, he'd have gone months ago.
On stats the big question mark for me is what Harry's win percentage would have been if he had been allowed a fraction of AVB's budget during those two January windows when we were desperate for a striker.
Redknapp's net spend was higher than AVB'S. That's without letting him buy Joe "he's a good lad" Cole or Loic "up on a rape charge" Remy.

Oh come off it, net spend is ********. AVB's 'net spend' was only low because of the massively over inflated fee of Bale who shouldn't have cost more than £50m. AVB was backed in the window more than any other Spurs manager.
Yet he lost the best player we've had since Hoddle.
