Fabio Paratici - Also Sporting Director

The interesting links are to to Rafi Moersen

Lots of articles like this - https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-who-is-carlos-raphael-moersen-b1262791.html

If you believe these articles then it appears that Rafi will sit between Vinai and the 2 sporting directors, Lange / Fabio, and take the role that Munn vacated. I think he was called Chief Football Officer (CFO) or something like that. It's also rumoured that Rebecca Caplehorn will be leaving the club at the end of Jan.

I guess we find out in due course.

Maybe the reason Fab is off, he always fancied himself for the higher role

And does that fill you with hope that we will get a squad boost this January?
No
I think we have a huge problem TBH
We know that Levy and Ange have had to step in recently to get players to join
I don’t know about Vinai but he did have Edu at arsenal
Personally if I’m have a chat with Frank and Lange I’m not choosing spurs right now
Then add in the new ownership

I think you're right about players not choosing Spurs.

I think we're over complicating things though. We have a stacked squad at this stage and there should only really be very few transfers at this stage of the evolution. Apart from speculating on some U21's, they should all be major signings. They should also be accompanied by exits.

The question becomes whether Spurs can attract Andersen, Wharton, Semenyo, Rogers or any other player at this level. I'm not convinced we can.

@Bedfordspurs is that you elaborately saying Frank and Lange are uninspiring?
They are as inspiring as the football were seeing
Which is so bland and uninspiring you can’t really define it
Imagine the convos
Come and join spurs we will double your salary
Great, what kind of football will we play
Well… I believe in risk and reward
What’s risk to you then?
Going into the toilet knowing there ain’t much loo roll
Sorry… I meant ok the pitch
Ahh, ok … ok the pitch it’s banging it long to our Ghanaian beats and hope we can than hit a cross into the box
Wow, and you have won many awards and trophies
Uh, no… never won a thing

Not a chance in hell that any player with genuine aspirations is joining us right now IMO
The players you name will look at this as an unsteady ship… a ghost ship if you will
No idea on the culture or philosophy in and off the pitch
They will also have rich suitors and that needs some divine intervention to get ahead of them…

Hmm, you wonder how Paratici leaving will effect our January window....
Im not convinced there's anything in the story. The Italian tabloids are worse than even the UK ones. Im sure he'll be on the verge of joining a different Italian club every few weeks for the next couple of years.

He also signed a contract with us just 70 days ago. There's bound to be 6 months gardening leave as part of that. So no way he's rocking up in Florence next month to try and splurge them out of relegation

So....it would be better to pray Fab Pat stays then, right?

What's happened to you Bedford?! You used to be overly positive about everything and anyone Spurs :D.....

Eyes mate
Can only say what I see
I’m a hugely positive guy naturally but I can’t back a donkey in a horse race
We know that Ange stepped in to get tel
We know that levy stepped in too
Maybe I’m subconsciously bitter as I used to work for a danish company and they were very nice people but the majority I worked with were very boring too. Frank is so much like that and Lange sounds like my last CEO
Football is meant to be a release for fans and a modicum of entertainment too

All I can think is that a couple of years ago we wouldn't have been talking about those other players in the PL like we do now. That means there exists another pipeline of players coming through. Perhaps having a fantastic data model approach under Lange could help us become incrementally better season over season.

What's interesting is that Andersen passed through Saudi Sportswashing Machine on his way to Forest. Rogers passed through Baggies, City and Boro on his way to Villa. They've both ended up at unattractive clubs. Just proves there's deals to be done.

It always comes back to quality over quantity to me. It's what we get so wrong as a club.
