European semi final

To our Norwegian friends - @Jordinho @Daisuk @Robbo (I think)and others I can’t remember : is it worth a trip out to Bodo to watch the SF in a bar? I know there’s a big Spurs fan base in Norway but I don’t know what it would be like when a local team is playing us?

It's a really nice little town, and when you're there you are very close to Lofoten, which is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been (and you'd be getting there before the tourist season). There's a ferry from Bodø going out there. I would be concerned about there being enough bars to host the amount of people going, but Kandi will know more about that. Also, Norway is expensive, especially when a million people are trying to get rooms in one little town.

Thanks. Good point about hotels. Will have to get onto that.
And totally forgot to include @Kandi1977 in my message.
That looks georgeous. May look at 5 or 6 days out there and have little look around.

Would be very hard and expensive to get to Bodø just for that, IMO. Could however be worth a trip to Oslo and the Spurs pub Bohemen, which will be packed. There will be plenty neutrals in Oslo rooting for Bodø/Glimt too, so the atmosphere could be special (hopefully not, after we end up victorious).

Yes, and only two starters who were not regulars in the team that finished fifth last season.
This is the thing, there are some who wanted to see Ange with his full team back after the ridiculous injuries before giving a final judgement. Yes we now have those players back, but Ange has not played them together in the PL because the focus is Europa League. In the PL you are having mishmash defences with Ben Davies, Gray etc mixed in there and when you do this you are always likely to be disjointed.

Between now and the end of the season I doubt much is going to change, will likely rotate and wrap the likes of VDV in cotton wool and only really play our strongest team in the EL and I have no complaints with that tbh....

This was a great performance. If we continue this til the end of the season then yes I would keep him.

Huge if though.

I thought it was a good performance given the way things have gone, we still didn't have the control I would like to see but the players made less personal errors which made a massive difference. Was pleased to see it meant a lot to the players and gives them the will and confidence to improve our performances.

Considering the same, it's such a unique place to have a big match. Even staying nearby (ish) and popping over there the day of the game would be cool.

I read something about "the most scenic train journey in Europe" from Trondheim to Bodo. It's 9.5 hours, but a choice of sleeper or early morning departure.

The fact it's difficult to get to makes me want to go more (recently went skiing and rather than fly nearby, booked a 4 hour train over the top of the alps and that was super cool).

Bit of weird omen special, does this sound familiar?

- semi-final of European trophy
- 2nd leg away
- green away kit
- chance of final against UK team
- final in Spain

Can we do one better?

Watching the other QFs it will be the same result, shafted by the refs.
Should we get past b/g, no certainty, I don't fancy us getting anything from a ref against the "home" club or utd.

There's currently a shortage of trains after a rock slide caused a derailment last year. The sleeper isn't a sleeper, there's a 9 hour stop in a town during the night.
