European semi final

Who have you got in mind to replace him and will he still play attacking football or play it safe to keep less players being injured, now for the final

Ange delivered a great performance today as manager. He had us set up well, and we showed that we can battle and give a performance of grit and determination even in a hostile environment away from home.
There’s a long path for him to come back but well done to him tonight for his management of the team. I have given much criticism so tonight he deserved praise. Let’s hope that this can see us turn the corner and deliver better performances and results on a consistent basis.

I'm very critical of Ange but all credit to him today. That's a performance I didn't think his team was capable of.

If he comes out of this season with a trophy, it'll usurp Lazarus' comeback as the greatest of all time.

Whether it'll be enough to keep his job? I really don't care at this point in time. I just want us to win a f**king trophy and we can talk about next season after that.

Bit of weird omen special, does this sound familiar?

- semi-final of European trophy
- 2nd leg away
- green away kit
- chance of final against UK team
- final in Spain

Can we do one better?

Edit .. additional

- Brazilian striker on bench
- Maybe most recognized star (Son this time instead of Kane) injured or recovering from injury.

Looks like it's the home game first with player suspensions on their side.

As for the Ange debate, it's also the Munn debate as well. Can you imagine if a new chief football officer comes into our club, re-arranges the furniture and lands us the first trophy for over 15 years. A CFO that held his nerve in the rough times, stuck by his man and cleared all the obstacles in his way to create the conditions for him to be judged fairly. Then that man goes and wins the EL. Stuff of dreams.

As most know, I'm still not sure whether Ange is the guy tactically. I can tolerate his annoying interview narratives if we're a winning side. Goes with the territory I guess. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the game last night due to more music commitments, but I did read everyones comments in the OMT. Keep me honest, but it felt that Ange turned the attackometer dial back to the middle in the first half. Kept us tighter at the back at the expense of the attacking side. I just wish he'd have used more of this pragmatic approach based on the opposition over these last couple of seasons. It's what most managers do to prevail.
