Yeh I kinda thought that too, but even still it's the wrong thing to cling onto in the grand scheme IMO. The seats are only on show when the stadiums empty and seemingly most fan's are now at odds with their own beliefs on what an empty stadium should look like
WHL never had branding on general seating, unless my memory is playing up? If it's the dugout seating then from what I can see all top clubs have them sponsored.
I just found it a strange thing to include along side all the others
I think they've probably convinced themselves the club is purposefully not using club branding around the stadium for some nefarious reasoning

Id back whichever supporters' group lobbies to get the music turned off in the 10 minutes before KO and 3 minutes after the game. I hate managed fun flimflam. Let the fans create an atmosphere

Yeah, the supporters aren't there to be the 12th man and lift the team, the players are there to make 60,000 people feel entitled.

Works both ways for me, fans get up for good sides and performances but we have never been that "12th man" that others are.

But every player I’ve met… to a man… when discussing atmosphere remembers it
They also remember of certain things are shouted out in the crowd
Most footballers have said it is imortant. Especially playing away. Quiet the opposition fans down.

It's probably a player from the lower leagues that needs the money. Doubt they'd pay enough for an interview with a top player and want to keep it secret.
