I agreeAnd 5 subs. Even if we get an excellent attacking wb, I trust Royal when we need to defend a lead.
He is really strong in the air and seems to time his challenges well most of the time

I've had the the same thoughts re him covering for Romero. He's seems quite suited to the role of RCB. Good depth if that is a path we want to follow. If he’s happy to stick around then it would be great to keep him for those games like Pool or City away when we’re expecting to have to defend more.
I’m not one of those people who wants to change players positions all the time but I really do think he could be great cover for Romero as RCB, he seems to have all the attributes for that roll. If he can cover 2 positions in the team then I think he is a very useful squad player.
Think he got better as the season progressed and not nearly as bad as some said. Would have liked to have seen him continue next season, but unfortunately his attacking lacks which is required for the current set up.
Can he not be a back up CB cover for Romero?
I have a feeling we will regret letting him go when Conte leaves and a manager comes in who plays 4 at the back.

I do hope he stays here, he is a much better player then what some have said about him. He seem willing to work hard at changing his game to suit our style and i am sure if he stays he will get plenty of games.
The problem is when he gets into the box he doesn't seem to know what to do. Like reguillon i think a better player would have scored more from the positions they got themselves in. Perisic got 8 goals and 7 assists in the league last season compared to reguillons 2 and 3. Thats worth how many points in a season? I'd like to see the same done for the right.
I get the point i do but imo he was improving that part of his game as the season progressed, as i said he seems willing to work on that part of his game, it can be done with the right attitude and a manager who is willing to help him do so. We shall see.
At the end of the day it will be up to conte. If he decides he wants to keep him, i'm not going to argue.
Reggie could have had atleast 10 goals last season with the opportunities he has had.The problem is when he gets into the box he doesn't seem to know what to do. I dont understand why people keep suggesting we sell him, he looks to me a better player than Tantanga, hes the same age and has more experience and confidence. Apart from being home grown Tantanga looks a long way from being part of our squad, injuries have held him back but he didnt look comfortable playing in any position, which is a shame as I had high hopes for him.
