not seen him play myself, but those clips look like he is a great transition player between midfield and the Strikers and with a good pass and finish on him. Its funny though that we always seems to produce diminutive players. It seems to be our thing. Would like to see him on the bench. Feels like he could do more coming on that some of the others. Slowly of course.

He's filled out a lot in the last year. It'd be good to see him in the squad for Thursday but we really need to get him to sign a new contract and get him a loan to League 1.

I would rather see him in the first team then a lot of our current lot. Guess if he plays 20 full games out on loan it could be better for him.
Him and Harvey White should start games ahead of Dele and Ndombele and Bergwijn and Winks and Lo Celso.
was thinking last night whether Conte will just leave some players like Dele, DOherty out for good from now on and pick youngsters. Wonder though whether it'll impact their transfer value even more, so they might still be on the bench

I fear we are gonna lose this kid and it was is disappointing. He is obviously too good for the under 23 team but he has never really been given a chance in the last 12 months in our first team, not even starting against a team like Morecombe nor was he sent on loan. He has failed to sign a new contract and I cannot say I blame him, not even given a chance in the Euro Conference League, meanwhile he has consistently been scoring for fun in the under 23s.
Now he will simply wait for a team to offer him first team football and he will be gone in the summer.

This works both ways though.... I fear that the reason he may not be getting much of a chance in the first team is because he is declining a new contract at the club. Young players cannot expect to get included in the first team squad if they have indicated that they do not want to stay for the longer term. Markanday was nowhere near ready (not really even for a loan) until this season as he was a late developer physically. I suspect he has been tapped up by a German team who will give him decent money and a first team place. When he started to appear in the club's social media posts a little while ago as well as getting into the first team squad I had hoped a new contract was close to being signed but it seems that wasn't the case.
Before brexit a german team would have. Now he'd have to get a work permit. Not sure he'd qualify.

well that is HUGELY disappointing. Massive talent who's close to stepping up to first team. All likelihood would offer far more than some of our names.
Quite gutted, especially as a British Indian, i'd have LOVED to see him making an impact. But don't blame him at all. Some of the shower of brick getting ahead of him for games vs Morecambe etc.

Just saw this. Hopefully a concrete buy back option so this can be treated more like a loan if he does kick on but it’s a shame he hasn’t seen Skipp as evidence that there is a pathway to the first team.
