I get your point, and normally i would agree. But I want to see him do some things he is just not doing. At the moment every time he gets the ball he has to cut inside, he long range shots have been woeful and the only way he has helped the side is being a point for Dawson's long range passes. Its not like he is even trying to go on the outside and failing, he just cuts in every single time.
What I like about townsend is he is unpredictable. Its a downfall and a postive at the moment as the opposition and his team mates dont know what he is going to do. But he worked Shezknee more than any other player yesterday and has looked our best threat in the last three games. He is two footed so i believe he could go on the left and allow Lamela on to the right. with Eriksne or Holtby behind soldado i think we will finally see some creativity.
