The deals on the table for united are deals where the debt if any… is not on the club
So the club is debt free
Like Chelsea

the debt would be raised at a BidCo level which would ultimately be secured against the assets and cash flows of the target. No different to any similar corporate transaction

But that’s not how Chelsea was acquired
And also not how the two bidders have said this would be funded

If this is the qatar royal family buying it they have $41bn cash in foreign reserves. They don't need to take on debt. Even if they did they own their own banks.

Don't think it would be a tactic, more so reality. Paying 40m for a keeper with one year left on his contract? There are other suitable GKs that would be available for far less than that and we will rightly be looking elsewhere, as good as he is. We have scouted more than just him....

Which homegrown keepers are more talented, have more experience in the Premier League and are available for cheaper?

Maybe this will run until after our game with them. Hopefully not though, we need that keeper in!

He won't be at Brentford by then, Spurs or otherwise. He wants out, they have already signed his replacement, they want to invest, they don't have Toney, they probably need the 40m to help their own plans.

No they are being ultra stubborn like they were with Watkins.

They either get the £40m they want or they will cut off their nose as the saying goes.

Idiotic but they are stubborn fudgers.
Read something very similar on a United forum, only it was about Kane.. Don’t get this «They should be reasonable and sell him» just because it happens to be us who want to buy him. If Brentford want 40 million, then thats the price.

Agree.

Give Hugo another year and then take him in 2024.
