He does appear to be pretty highly rated within Italian football.
I'm trying not to get caught up in stats as different ones will lead you to different conclusions.
Youtube clips aren't really showing me what I want to see which is his weaknesses, of the goals conceded what are the mistakes he often makes and the deficiencies in his game?

The past casual links with Roma, Bayern, Napoli and Inter probably show he's no mug for such stories to even come about
 
Very happy with under the radar signings this summer. We've seemingly been building up our scouting capabilities so more likely that they're decent rather than a N'Jie

Also, no reason we can't be after Vicario and Raya. Its not as if FF is young!
 
26 years old, so v young for a keeper. First Italian call-up (but not capped) last year. Like that profile

Having decried Youtube videos, here's one solely of chat anyway where it says he was 2nd best keeper in Serie A for passing accuracy and had more interceptions than any other keeper which probably indicates he's okay at sweeping.

Insane record against penalties, and lovely to hear that he took in a Ukrainian refugee family

Apparently he only made one mistake leading to a goal last season, so there's just no data.

That really doesnt fill me with confidence!!

There's one complete clanger in there and a few where he parried the ball out in front of him rather than away. There's also a few which kind of when in close-ish to him and he sort of dived over it - the sort of goal when you question whether he might have been able to do better.

Lloris is ready for the glue factory so I'd take more or less anyone rather than him. I'd prefer Raya to this chap. Hopefully he's out back-up plan and we land Raya
