I would love to see Danny kick on again but the World Cup campaign has not done his reputation any favours. To be honest, despite the Golden Boot, I don't think it has done much for Kane's rep, either. Dele did OK but was overshadowed by Mbappe while Dier was a bit down and up (as opposed to up and down). The only Spurs player in the England camp who burnished his reputation was Trips - massively.

But does that matter for the club? I don’t think so. I think the less our players perform teh better being honest

As an Englishman I wanted us to win it... but as a spurs fan I only care that our players don’t come back injured

Given the level of geography teaching over the past 20 or so years it seems accurate (Paris IS in the North of France).

I think it depends whether you are measuring distance and direction in old fashioned miles and magnetic poles style, or more modern, ‘pounds per week’ metrics.

For example, PSG is exactly 200,000 pounds per week north of London, using the new theory.

To be honest, with the state of the road and rail connections in the north, flying into Doncaster from Germany might actually be quicker
