Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

I do suspect there were expectations to improve those records in the club though, I doubt as Chairman there was a flat our acceptance of failures to the levels the Ange interview has made people think (not you BTW). Levy hired and fired alot of managers which was proof there were some standards to hit.

I suspect this interview was as it sounded, as an outsider/fan rather than chairman of the board
Yes I’m sure Ange has, to some extent, used the opportunity to ‘massage’ the perception of his tenure for the sake of his image and employability.

Anyway, onwards and let’s smash those Chavs into next week!

I think he would be a good candidate as the Football regulator.

I'd like to see Levy take Trevor Birch's role as the head of the EFL. I think that would be incredibly powerful to have someone like Daniel looking through the next layers of the pyramid. As Birch says, there is never a dull moments when you have oversight on 72 clubs.

It's actually Birch that football needs elevated into a very senior position in the higher parts of the pyramid at either England, Europe or even WW level. He has so much more football DNA than a guy like Levy. So much more relevant experience as former professional footballer along with his breadth of executive experience across many clubs (including ours briefly) as well as the EFL.

I reckon Birch absolutely sees everything we talk about with regards to laws, officiating, VAR, PGMOL etc. No chance Levy would get these types of topics to the right level. I don't think he's programmed that way.

Not sure I agree mate, not disputing Birch's abilities, but Levy has represented the PL at UEFA level, European Club Association (ECA) Executive Board, he also held a position on UEFA’s Professional Football Strategy Council prior to ECA role. Add in 25 years of actually running a club?

This myth of Levy not being a football man is bit disingenuous.
