Dane Scarlett

Have we really given our youth players the foundation to kick on and become better? This is the third youth striker in the past 10 years - Parrott, Lankshear, Scarlett. I have a feeling if they were at a different club they would have had more chances to play.

Farewell Scarlett. Wish you well.

I think the handling is mixed and thats indicative of what seems a frenetic campaign.

Parrott was the right call to leave, with Will I would have loved to have seen him as back up this season (given Richy drama I feel that even more) but Scarlett is 22, I never understood the idea of keeping hold of him till now, either integrate or leave, the holding pattern out of all three is by far the more surreal

Hopefully he’ll be forging a lethal partnership with Yusuf Akhamrich at Orient.

I think generically we have tried to unearth a new striker for peanuts for a long time. Kion Etete another that came and went. We've obviously now moved to guys like Melia and Feeney hoping that they will make the grade. The interesting thing is that the club clearly feel these guys aren't good enough without them really getting a 1st team look-in. It's all based on their loan performance and what's seen on the training ground.

Yeh and I don't disagree that they don't think they are good enough, cool, but in Danes case waiting till he is 22 when all likely knew and also making odd loan moves seems massively disjointed. Anyway, is what it is, go well lad
