Pleased to see that, hope he gets a chance to develop into the player we had hoped. I suppose this means Lankshear will stay with us, which I think is good for both parties, can't see many teams starting him and better to train with us for a bit longer as he's only just joined in 1st work.
Someone online (Marc Trainis I think) said Lankshear needs to stay at Spurs 1 more year to become club trained. No idea if that is true.

Off the back of this post I actually went to UEFA’s official definition and it made me laugh.

It’s like the football folks had it simple: 3 years with the club between 15 and 21.

And then the lawyers got hold of it and you end up with this 😂

A "club-trained player" is a player who, between the ages of 15 (or the start of the season during which the player turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during which the player turns 21), and irrespective of the player's nationality and age, has been registered with the player's current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship) or of 36 months. In the context of this paragraph, the season immediately preceding a player’s 15th birthday may be counted if the player's birthday is after the last match of the relevant national championship but before or on 30 June (winter championships) or 31 December (summer championships), and the season immediately following the player's 21st birthday may be counted if the player's birthday is on or after 1 July (winter championships) or 1 January (summer championships) but before the first match of the relevant national championship.

I think he played a few games for us in Europe where it was pretty clear he wasn't yet close to being ready. He was so full of confidence and smashing them in at youth level and then seemed to lose that air of invincibility that he had about him back then.

He played in 2-3 conference league games a few years ago, think it was under Conte, hardly going to break him.
He also played a few mins at the end of a couple of Europa League games and scored. Could just as easily say that should've been a boost for him.

I was surprised we loaned him to the championship. Think it would have been much better to go to League One and try and perform there. He’s not going to make it at spurs now anyway you’d imagine the loans are just trying to boost his value. Which is why I think he went to the championship instead of League One.

It must have been a bit depressing for him to see Lankshear play on Thursday. OTOH, Solanke's route to being "a top, top player" (© Harry Redknapp) was not without its setbacks, so here's hoping the lad sticks at it and makes it.
