Romero hate based on this rumor is probably unjustified. Being angry because of a click bait lie is not good for your health. You will be permanently angry about made up stories.

It’s plausible that he would want to play for them. But I don’t see why they’d want him. He’d be a downgrade on their existing CB’s, and I don’t even rate Gabriel that highly.
They need a backup and if Romero is going cheap because we want rid and have already replaced him then it makes sense that they might chance their arm

I just don’t see us selling to them. And as much as I see Romero wanting to play for them, he has to know he wouldn’t be first choice.
This too. But fans could reserve their emotions for a true story and they'd be better off mentally.
