Cristian Romero

Romero is one of our star players. Only thing I was certain we got right is VDV-Romero at CB for the next 5 years. Something we could build on. Kulusevski and Madison are other players I would deem as untouchable. I like Porro at RB too. We should also keep Bentancur as he is a great box to box imo, even though he struggled with that injury. I did not mention the young players( Bergval, Sarr, Tel, Moore etc) because I am hoping 1 or 2 will develop into a star player as well. I would get Theo Hernandez, Osimhen and a star DM and I would be very happy with the window.
I don’t understand why you would get Hernandez in to disrupt Udogies development and Oshimhen who would take Solankes position as they will rarely get played together. I think Solanke will do well in a proper set up. Waste of money IMO.

An upgrade is an upgrade if that’s the angle. However there are priorities.

Osihmen is on about £350k a week and would smash it in the league. However Levi’s fighting talk about winning the title isn’t going to accommodate this sort of signing.

Osimhen can play LW too. You can play him as CF or LW. Udogie can learn a lot from Hernandez, especially how to run back when we lose the ball. We don't have competition for him and he won't improve otherwise imo.

I don't particularly think Oshimen is a realistic proposition for us, due to wages club status etc but regarding Oshimen the simple answer is that he's a far better player. We can't make decisions on whom we sign or don't based on trying to be nice to an existing player. We simply have to get the best and must suited player for our requirements. If that means Solanke becomes depth all the better.

Solanke is a decent player and I agree that I think Frank can get a bit more from him in terms of goal threat but even then you always have to ask the question if you can improve upon someone and if you can then you know what the answer should be. You keep doing that until you can't actually improve on your players anymore, at that point you team is going to be exceptional. Otherwise you're just settling and you will fall short.
