Covid outbreak at Spurs

Or both. That would have just covid proofed the squad for the rest of the year and beyond

And been unethical as well as against both current guidelines and anything an employer could possibly expect to ask of employees.

It would have been a complete disaster for the club from a PR perspective and a recruitment/transfer perspective to even try something like this. If it had been tried despite that it would have been stopped.

If everyone is going to have/get it over the course of a 2 month period, it just makes sense to concentrate it within bubbles, so it's not prolonged any longer than necessary. With some foresight, schools would also have done it with teachers for this dead week between Christmas and term starting.

Why on earth would anyone who is not positive opt to spend 7-10 days stuck isolating with colleagues who are positive rather than living life as normal with their families? Possibly even longer if someone didn't contract the virus until day 7 say, so would have to do another 7-10 days.
Plus we'd probably be breaching some PL covid-protocols and end up forfeiting games instead of having them postponed.
The thing is it's not chicken pox and it's not (yet) just a cold.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned here, but there are rumours floating about that Kane and Hugo are the two key players we are concerned may have covid.

couldn’t be worse timing if true..fudge covid!!

Kane was posting stuff on Insta from his little boy's birthday at the weekend so maybe that one is gonads

A lot of things can seem easier to fix if one can ignore ethics and what is practically possible.

A key player...so could be any of Dier, Kane or Lloris...plus presumably a squad player (assuming this is right)

The biggest problem -if Dier- is that we have no-one who can really do what he does. Rodon is said to be the understudy, but truthfully, he has played very little under Conte and does not have any passing range in practice. I believe he could develop that, but in a pinch he is not really a good option IMO. I'd be tempted to keep Davies and Sanchez where they are and slot Tanganga in (perhaps shuffle Sanchez for Tanganga). Either way that player will be pressed hard as they will be nowhere near as comfortable on the ball as Dier has been, but at least between those three there would be some sort of understanding and synergy.

If I could pick one period in time to miss Kane it'd be tomorrow. We can shape up without him. We have some options especially in a two-legged tie. Ditto Hugo TBH.

We need these players for the goon match, which is beyond a shadow of a doubt our most important fixture upcoming. A 6-pointer...maybe even a n niner!!!!

With the changes to the test rules coming in tomorrow whoever is out should be back quite quickly.

No longer need a pcr test. So if you test positive with a lateral flow your isolation starts then. You then need a negative test on day 6 and 7.
