Would’ve loved both in our midfield a decade ago but would settle for either as manager next season, Alonso would seem better qualified than Hernandez at turning anround a team near the relegation zone though.

Xavi is surprisingly defensively minded considering his playiong career although I guess you could say hes fairly balanced. He'd be quite a tonic compared to the really open setup Ange plays with. Generally speaking, the squad fits but he'd want a proper DM and I think the wide players are getting jettisoned, Odobert may well get a proper run. Hes the guy who brought Yamal through, I can't imagine him being happy with Johnson.

He's like many good coaches who has variations in his tactics and utilises his players skills. Not just brute force running
Smart, progressive coach is what we need too.
