Revenue or cost? You just said in a previous post that our wages in 2022/23 were 20% higher than 2021.The numbers don’t change that much when you look season to season

Fans are worse now then they have ever been in the past [ at most clubs] its a case of i want it and i want it now, it never appears to be seen by some that the more change you make the harder it is to progress. We live in a blame someone for all the ills that happens.
£5-8m for 18 months and a tanked career isn't as good as £1m year and bonuses for doing a good job before moving to a more stable club.
Iraola comes here and crashes, and let's be honest it's a coin toss at the very best, he's in exactly the same position Potter is in now, Last chance saloon.
Not convinced it's the attractive job on the horizon.
6M (middle ground), 3yr contract, it's literally 18 years worth of his current salary if he fails in 15 months
Everyone is saying he'll wait for a better job, no one in his position would, he just as easily could lose 2 players to injury, have the results drop off and this time next year be fired from Bournemouth with his next job likely to be another relegation candidate (and no prospects of better)
And what is the better job on the horizon? Pool will stick with Slot for another 3+ years, United has to give Amorim 2, and if they don't they will go big name to pacify, Chelsea is actually doing well, so again, probably a couple of years, Pep just signed extension, where is the better job that is open or likely to be?
This is a great point. In the 80s and 90s, we’d lose, I’d sulk a bit and then just get on with life until the next game. Now I have no end of platforms to wallow in whatever misery I’m feeling and no end of media coverage to absorb. It can be never ending if you want it to be which usually doesn’t lead anywhere good. And no doubt the amount of information, be it through newspaper articles, podcasts, social media etc - where everyone involved need to analyze every last bit of information again and again and again - even though most of us simply have no fudging clue.
Back in the days of checking scores on teletext, I had no clue what was going on - if I was lucky I could maybe catch the starting lineup at BBC 5 Live on a noisy radio (I had to go visit my grandma to get the best reception with my radio walkman, haha). There just weren't a lot to discuss beyond what actually happened in a game, if you were lucky enough to see it. So I think you're right. There are so many channels for people to moan and complain about everything (I do it too, of course, but limit myself to this place).
It's a new layer to football that I'm not too fond of myself, but it's here to stay, so we just need to adapt and ignore as much as possible of the silly stuff. Then again, what is silly will of course vary from person to person.
And therin lays the problem, idiots who believe every thing they read and then go in to meltdown about it.And no doubt the amount of information, be it through newspaper articles, podcasts, social media etc - where everyone involved need to analyze every last bit of information again and again and again - even though most of us simply have no fudging clue.

Anyone? This made me wonder, if we got bought with a leverage buy out, and the new owners took out half the profits like the Glazers, would this affect what we can spend under FFP?
Not 100% sure but I think it probably would as we'd have to account for it as wages or something in our P&L.Anyone?
Yes as it’s money the club wouldn’t haveAnyone?
Anyone?
So taking out dividends, and loan payments for a leverage buy out, do not count for PSR, but obviously impact on profit, and could potentially mean running at a loss but within PSR rules? Or, to not run at a loss, wages would have to be say 50%, rather than 70%?PSR and Uefa's rules are that: wages + amortisation + agents fees shouldn't equal more than a certain percentage of turnover. Uefa will be 70%. Prem 85%.
Youth team and womens teams spending will not be a part of the calculation. Nor will anything else such as building a stadium, upkeep of the ground, stewards wages or dividends. Loan payments will only be counted if that money was spent on wages, amortisation or agents fees.

The only nailed on reality we see every week is the 90/180 mins of football we see on the pitch every week. The rest is simply noise. Unfortunately that noise appears bigger than the game itself these days. And no doubt the amount of information, be it through newspaper articles, podcasts, social media etc - where everyone involved need to analyze every last bit of information again and again and again - even though most of us simply have no fudging clue.
