I doubt if he’s want to leave LCFC for us currently. He’s got a great set up there and money to spend too.

We've just spent 65 on one player and the GLC deal if committing is a similar bracket. They wont be spending in those areas anytime soon I'm sure.
Regarding the initial post the difference is they've had the luxury of taking punts around the 20-35 region. Players that really wouldn't have threatened our first 11 at the time of purchase - all or most have been given pitch time to get to the point they have. Most would have struggled to get any real minutes with us.
Lets assume they get CL and we dont. I'd still expect us to attract better players in the end of season window.
