Yeh if anything the critique of Gakpo is that he is like a really good version of Brennan Johnson that scores a lot of goals but doesn’t offer enough to the team overall.
He presses way better than Johnson, lot more physical, he's just a bit one dimensional in attack (cut in, spam shots)
He'd improve us, but really don't see how Liverpool lets him go (they are very light on numbers right now)

Don’t think Johnson was lazy just not an intelligent enough players to understand when and how to press. I also think our last 2 managers were poor at coaching that as well.

He was massively lazy, he left his RB exposed far too often. It was a HUGE hole in his game. Something he has taken with him to Palace, without the goals

Your not wrong but I think that’s due to his lack of football intelligence rather than being unwilling. Doesn’t really change the eval of him as a player not being good enough for where Spurs want to go.
Gapko has the positive traits of Johnson in terms of final 3rd instinct and is better in overall play. Also intelligent and hard working.

I think it's both. Even if he was running around a lot, he couldn't impact games either defensively or offensively.
