Look at that. They pay Casemiro 350 grand a week.
Antony gets two hundred thousand pounds (7 times the UK ANNUAL salary) per week to essentially be terrible at football.
Harry Maguire clearly stays for one reason, or rather 190,000 of them each week.
Christian Eriksen, who respectfully is a veteran footballer with a known medical condition, is still earning 150k per week.
They pay mount and Shaw 400k to sit in the medical centre too.

What epic muppets.

The problem with this strategy is that you also have players like Kobbie Mainoo playing for peanuts in comparison.

How can Kobbie possibly be happy when a guy like Casemiro is on 10 times what he's earning?

Yet over in the ENIC thread paying high salaries is the magic bullet…

If only my brother-in-law was still alive he could have sorted that out for them for about £100k

It's a fudge up of epic proportions

- Amorim plays one way, and a blind donkey could have seen the squad doesn't fit that system
- If they were going to go for him, they needed to do so last summer and given him the money instead of the additional brick bought for ETH
- There is no fudging legs in that squad
- All this talk about full refresh of players, who the fudge is going to buy Rashford, Casimrio, Eriksen, Anthony, De Ligt, Hojlund, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot? the first 3 alone is 800K/week in wages

I don't see a way out of that hole for them ..

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they'd started a midfield pairing of Casimero and Eriksen the other day. Like how is that actually meant to work in the premier league? Maybe five years ago but today, no fudging chance. Maino was on the bench who came on at 33 minutes but I don't know if that was tactical or forced by injury...

It's comforting to know there's a bigger laughing stock than us this season, if I'd have had my pick I'd have chosen Utd to fill that position. If there's a fan base out there in need of some tough times it's them 😁

Don't think anyone has claimed that. It's possible to pay higher salaries and get worse (as United are proving and we have proved with some of our highly paid duds) but it's very, very difficult to win trophies unless you pay salaries at the high end of the scale as evidenced by those teams who win the prizes - particularly the big ones.

They managed to find an owner worse than the Glazers.Well done them.

The Glazers are still the majority owners. They can't believe their luck in attracting someone willing to pay big money to draw attention away from them. They'd have even worse coverage sacking low paid employees, cutting free staff lunches, reducing Christmas bonuses, and cancelling donations to an ex-player charity. Radcliffe is the lightning rod that Alastair Campbell was to Blair.

You have to admit that the Glazers are ruthless businessmen and have maintained that throughout their tenure. They didn't let football turn them into crass idiots the way it has to Radcliffe, Mike Ashley at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, and the guy with the goldfish at Leeds.

Bet they beat Liverpool on the weekend... just seems like the sort of result they'll fluke out of nowhere, they managed to pick up wins away at City a few times under Ole when everyone thought they were on for a beating.

Or maybe they get done 8-0....
