He is clearly head and shoulders above such trivialities as winning football matches, that's for sure.
 
I think I posted about how our team was better aside from Fernandes. None of their team would break in to a mixed first eleven. They are deluded.

From their squad, I'd take:

- Henderson as Lloris' successor
- Maguire and sell Sanchez
- Fernandes and then sell Dele
- Van de Beek and sell Winks
- Rashford
- Greenwood, and then sell Moura and Lamela

Effectively making our starting 11 a bit better and squad a lot better

VDB and Fernandes are the players you want
Pogba on paper would be the other, but attitude/application and issue with Jose rules him out
Don't know enough about Henderson to make a call.

Maguire is a donkey on stupid wages

Rashford, Greenwood, Martial to me are all probably on too high wages for players that seem very specific (either you use them a certain way, or they don't work) and streaky.

Issue with United's squad (outside of VDB and Fernandes) is decent players (but not great) on mostly obscene wages (think they officially have highest wages in PL) with questionable attitude and application, hence it's not an issue of underplaying their quality but there applicability to a squad (Spurs) that has over last decade seemed to performed best when everyone is positive and putting in a shift

I dont disagree on the wages point. I was judging it based on footballing ability and improving us.

I wouldnt take Pogba at all. Since he's been at Utd, he shows flashes once every 10 games or so, but I'd prefer Ndombele and Fernandes before him, and I dont think he's a CM.

I'd take Mctominay were it not for midfield being on of our strongest areas 1st XI wise, rate him (Defo more of a Carrick than a Cleverly imo)
