Christmas Party Season

MartyFunkhouser

So as a break from the norm and despite Tiny Tommy and his band of merry cnuts claiming Christmas is cancelled I for one am looking forward to Christmas.

Whats everyone's work Christmas doo looking like? As a one man band I am off to the Devonshire next week with 2 clients and a pal.

Le Manoir Monday night. Unfortunately they stick some silly carol service thing in between all the nice food and wine.

I used to stand outside and smoke for that bit, not sure what I'll do now I'm old and not allowed to do anything fun any more.

It's only fairly recently become Belmond, I think. It's also Raymond's last year before he retires so will be good to give him a send off.

Depends. This one is very small for obvious reasons. We usually have one for office staff at the Rose Bowl or somewhere similar where everyone can have a meal and a drink but is nice enough to serve good scotch. Very little uptake on that this year, everyone's fairly busy. Then we used to have one at the factory for everyone but fewer and fewer are interested in attending, so we just chuck some money behind the bar of a pub nearby on the last day instead.

Yeh nice, love that.

Over in Hamburg where my company are primarily based for the Christmas markets. Been there once before, really is a cool event the Christmas markets in Germany :)

Will also say having got to know a lot of German colleagues over the past couple of years they aren't particularly like the stereotype and really good fun and similar sense of humour whilst having their own quirks they are similar to us in a lot of ways....

I think the Germans are exactly like us, got a couple of good mates over there. Good sense of humour, like a beer, like their football always good craic

Merry Christmas Baby - BB King
Run Run Rudolph - Chuck Berry

Absolutely love RRR. I think we're doing the Foo Fighters version on the 19th. That great Californian band, Train, did an amazing version as well. None better than the original though.

My favourite Xmas song: Stevie Wonder - A Warm Little Home on a Hill

Doubt anyone would have heard of it.

I work from home in Surrey. my boss is in edinburgh and my colleagues mostly in India.

Me and my wife have a day off from caring duties Xmas day so we have booked a table at a curry house.

None of my pals drink now anyway.
