He'll be given more opportunities. The game had already changed in West-Hams favor when he came on, so he didn't have an easy time to influence the game. I was actually rather puzzled that he was brought on at that stage.First attempt at taking a second chance handed to him by the managerial change. First chance to show Mourinho where his head and heart is as Mourinho wanted to find out.
Not at all taken well by Eriksen, I'm guessing he'll get a few more chances.

I think that is purely to try to make him feel included in the squad. If he feels and gets the impression that he's out, then there is no chance he'll sign a contract. If Mourinho wants him, and has a plan for him in the future, he's more likely to sign a new deal, especially if he sees that Mourinho can win us trophies. That's fair, and I reckon he might actually start him Tuesday.
But.....What is the point in 'finding out where his head's at' etc'? For me its black and white, if you want to sign a new contract, you play, if you don't, you don't. What's the point in us cajoling him back to form for the benefit of another team?
Eriksen is a limp wrist we all know this now.
That is harsh!
Up until December he was one of, if not our best player. I’m intrigued to know what happened to cause such a marked decline and I’m not going to condemn him so easily after all the good service he gave us over the past five years.
The only opinion that really matters is Jose's, if he feels that Eriksen could be a major player for us ( again) then he will want to have a good look at him in training and then in matches. The one thing Jose will not do ( unless he feels he does not need him)is bow down to fans who are slagging him off.
Without signing a contract with us I just don't understand when this would happen. In Jan isn't he free to sign a pre-contract elsewhere?

The rapid decline of Eriksen’s form sits uneasily with me. I’m convinced there is more to it than meets the eye.
Nothing more than he has decided his future lays elsewhere and just isn't the type of character to give his all when not committed.
We saw this last time he went through contract negotiations, unless fully focussed/committed he doesn't perform
You have a better memory than me, can’t dispute what say.
Which makes me think he must stupid, who the hell would want him with this as a reaction!
