"Champions of 3rd place, we know what we are"

I think Conte this season is almost more impressive than last season. They have had a pretty small squad, they have had some injuries, and they have had CL to contend with, and are still doing pretty well.

I hope they are due a wobble but right now I don’t see it. They tend to lose the odd game but bounce back prettt consistently.

Liverpool tend to start well under Klopp then have a wobble. They’ve been able to rotate more this year though so let’s see if they still follow that pattern.

Arsenal and United look the most vulnerable to me. Arsenal always finish well but so do we. Mourinho on the other hand is a notorious fast starter, and it seems the slide and difficulties are already beginning. They looked absolutely awful against Southampton, and they are a clear class below Chelsea and City. They have a better defence than Liverpool by virtue of Mourinho’s caution but I’m not sure that’s enough. And I think we are just better than them and poised to hit form ourselves.

Driven by some foreigner who'll make a few mistakes along the way, but we'll get there in the end, and on the cheap?
Shhh, Levy will start surcharging tickets when we are winning...although at least we'll be able to rate all the players after each match!

I have to agree and all under a media push for him to get sacked.

He knows the pieces he needs in the side which makes him a good coach, Drinkwater and Moses most would scoff if they came in the door but they have roles to play and do it well

Arsenal drop points against West Brom.

Thank GHod for that. Good to see other teams starting to drop points in eminently winnable games. City, although they are too far gone, United and now Arsenal this weekend. That’s great for us. Hopefully we can keep on pushing on, the level is so high now that no team can really afford to draw any game against another team not in the top 6.

We'll be 2nd by the end of January.

*edit, or just off in 3rd, as Chelsea have a decent run of fixtures after Arsenal away.

Under Poch our Christmas record has been exemplary

Every side seems to pick up big injuries too at this time (sure we will too) but we have had some out that are coming back which actually shows the depth on our squad is better than most thought IMO

I would agree with this and i am sick to death of fans who say we have a weak squad, we have suffered MAJOR injurys to Wanyama, Toby and others with niggles but we have still managed to be in the fight for the top four.

Our bench ( when all fit) may not be on the same level as those at Chelski or City ( and we know the reasons for this) but they are as good ( and in most cases better) then the other teams.

Agree fully. Major injuries to Lamela and Rose too.

Hopefully by this time on Thursday evening we will be just 1 point behind Liverpool... and fingers crossed the Chavs draw with Le Goons on Wednesday...

Can't help but feel that UTD at home, Liverpool away and the Goons at home in succession are going to be the making of our season.. Huge matches.

Tough, tough run.. I'd take five points if offered now.

United and arsenal at home for me are very very winnable

Neither side is pulling up trees and are not good away against top sides (I know United did a smash and grab at the Effeminates)

Pool away is always hard as we lose it before we get there it seems

Not excited at the prospect of United at home - we struggle against the lesser teams who park the bus so when a strong side comes with the same gameplan i think we'll find it incredibly difficult

Mou tried that last year

And we will just go for the jugular with them IMO

They would need to change their whole focus to play ultra defensive against us as our attacks can be relentless

Bit different this time around at Wembley - we were doing well against park the bus sides last season at WHL, not so much this season

He didn't have his strongest side last time. It will be very tough. Pogba is incredible. We can beat anyone on our day.
