We're currently projected to be the highest ranked team in pot 3, but it doesn't really make any difference to us. Everyone gets two teams from each pot.
It can mean something to other teams if we're by far the best team in a pot and a weaker side with a marginally better coefficient gets into the next pot.
The tricky part is the three English sides in pot 1 that can't be drawn against another English side. Those three plus Arsenal in pot 2, Spurs in pot 3 and Saudi Sportswashing Machine in pot 4 will all have to play two of the other five pot 1 teams. It will be a puzzle as you also can't play more than two teams from the same country.

We'll get drawn against 8 teams - 2 from each of the 4 pots. If Bodø/Glimt and Fenerbahçe win their play-offs, it wouldn't be possible for our opponents to include all 4 of these teams because Napoli, Bodø/Glimt and Fenerbahçe would all be in the same pot.

Doesn't leave much space for new arrivals , can't see Takai playing much part in CL , totally untested at any level in England let alone Europe , if we do get someone in before Monday he looks the one to be left out.
