Champions League 2016/17

There is a tiny little difference between an away game vs a top German team, and a home games vs ludicrousistan from nobodyheardofistan. But yes, we need to start being more clinical.

Absolutely, but le scum scored on every second chance they got last night. I didn't mean to compare directly with our game in Germany, but with our effectiveness in general this season. We waste too many opportunities, and did last season as well. Some clinical finishing sessions are long due. ;)

Stones is no where near the finished article and needs a lot of work on his defending, he has been over hyped but he's exactly the type of centreback England need to progress, once he's got more experienced and tighter defensively. If England keep picking centrebacks who can just defend (I don't think we have any) we will continue to s l o w the game down, with our "from me to you, from you to me" possession game with the 5 yard pass to a midfielder who joins the pointless exercise. We must encourage all the players to move the ball and themselves forward.

Do not disagree with most of that at all, however its like i've said before the whole England structure has to change before that happens.

“To go from Portugal to Azerbaijan, for example, is almost the same as if you go to New York. For the fans it’s no problem but we should see. It’s a European competition so let’s think about it.”

Good to see that's been decided then.

If the final is in Europe, the fans can get there one way or another cheaply. If it's in the middle east, asia, america, the strain on available flights will make already expensive flights even dearer. It also means a longer trip than a day or two days. In what way is it 'no problem' you bent rooster sucking parasite?

Does anyone else find this competition a bit meh?

Corrupt as fudge over the years and fosters monopolies.

Richest team wins forever. ''Tis gonads.

And that music is brick.

Sky were late to the party, this was inevitable as soon as the game went professional.
But Sky have encouraged a generation of "football fans" who have never been to a match and only follow "winning teams", it annoys the **** out of me to hear the "experts" in the pub who've never been to a game or played at any level to crow when United or Liverpool win particularly living in London

that happens with everything that enters popular culture, i've never been to America but I have plenty of opinions on the upcoming election

i'd say increased coverage enables rather than encourages, people will always follow the zeitgeist
