So never then. When he scores a hatrick against us
He's not though is he, his biggest haul in yhe PL was 11.Already started for me. We need goals and we sold a goalscorer.
That is joint third for non penalty goals for wingers last season…. But carry on with your rhetoric….He's not though is he, his biggest haul in yhe PL was 11.
What about the year before that when he scored 5.That is joint third for non penalty goals for wingers last season…. But carry on with your rhetoric….
Mbuemo - 15
Bowen - 12
Johnson, Semenyo & Schade - 11
Gakpo & Mitoma - 10
Oh I see, you’re now changing the goalposts because I’ve just shown you how he compares to his peers for the exact thing your post mentioned. What about the year before that when he scored 5.
Or add in assists.
He's gone, he wasn't good enough, end of.
If you look at it objectively he's moved up, palace are in a better place than us atm.The players reaction and the sensible fan reaction is telling. Also the fact we've sold a player to Palace who are direct competition these days. This isn't a good situation. Summer maybe. But now. So odd.

He is a good player for what he done but I agree here.Sensible fan reaction?
He's gone to palace for 33 million or so, if he was a top player one of the bigger clubs would be snapping him up at that price
So what are they and us missing?
If we manage to get another player in this window of a higher standard it's not all that odd.
Do you honestly think - goals apart - he is anywhere as good as the other six in the list? Even probably Schade? That is joint third for non penalty goals for wingers last season…. But carry on with your rhetoric….

He scored more goals in a season than Darren Anderton ever did but I would take Anderton over him and many more every day and twice on Sundays. Course there is more to the role of a winger.
Goals are not the only metric
I liked the kid, but that doesn't change there is more to being a winger

As much as I like him as a player, I don't think he was ever right for Spurs.I think he has been sold as he doesn’t fit ‘the horseshoe’. Because Frank only has his team progressing the ball forward in two ways (via long balls from the keeper or passes from the full back to the winger’s feet) the most important thing that he wants from his wingers is the ability to receive the ball, with their back to goal and under heavy pressure from the opposition’s full back. The winger also has to be able to beat an opponent one on one as we’re not going to use creative passes brought the lines to progress the ball into goal scoring areas.
The things that Johnson is good at (running in behind, finishing one on one and getting into great goal scoring positions when the ball is on the opposite flank) are not at all needed in a Frank team as ‘the horseshoe’ doesn’t create those sorts of chances.
I think the best sort of player for Frankball would be peak Wilf Zaha.

He's scored the same goals per 90 as Salah and that Reindeer bloke at City.He played about 5 mins this year yet is still 3rd top goalscorer.
I assume that’s in reply to me as I used the word metric. But you’ll also note I didn’t use the word ‘only’.
