Are we begining to wobble?

Arsenal are on their usual end of season run, now that they're out of all the cups. We've been pretty steady all season. They're above us in the table because they've played one game more.
 
I'd be bitterly disappointed if we didn't go on to set a new club Premier League points record now.

Whether or not it will be good enough for Champions League football next season is another matter.

10 from points from our last 5 games is an average of 2.0 points per match.

We've already got 61 from 33, which is an average of 1.85 points per match.

We just have to continue doing what we've been doing all season.

If we ended up with 71pts knowing our luck it probably still wouldnt be enough to finish 4th. but recording your highest ever PL points tally would still be a very creditable achievement, as well as registering a record number of away wins in the PL era.

I repeat-what wobble? We are unbeaten in 5, we have scored 11 goals in our last 5 games Defoe scored in our last game Ade has scored 3 goals in our last few games so our strikers are in great form.
 
We are not in bad form - 7th in the PL published form table over the last 6 matches - but Arsenal and Chelsea are sitting 1st and 2nd in the same table. There is absolutely no room for error and I can easily see all three teams topping the the 71 point mark. I think it will come down to beating Chelsea, which is a big ask but not impossible.

To those that said Arsenal won't win 4 in a row. They haven't lost a match since playing Swansea away and they form is better than ours. Chelsea picked up points too. How about you eat some humble pie.

Since the topic of this thread is our supposed wobble.

Our average points per game in that stretch is 1.86, across a season that would make 70(.5) points. I think that's pretty good going.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have unfortunately both been doing even better it seems. It was brought up in another thread by someone else, but if Arsenal and Chelsea end up securing 3rd and 4th I think a reasonable response will be to say fair play, they deserved it. Just like if we secure a top 4 finish I think that would be a pretty reasonable response towards us from the fans that ended up missing out.

Chuck in the 5 games before the 12/1 wdwww 2 defeats in the last 19 league games. Not a bad run for a team thats supposedly blowing it.
Credit has to go to Arsenal for putting in an impressive run of form right now, albeit with a little help (see Norwich at home)
