Yep the unions back the labour party,just as the city and big business back the tory party. One back the working people of these country,the other almost brought this country to its knees. One had one day strike,the other cost 1.4 trillion.

I am proud the Labour party take the unions money. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Except for very rare circumstances there's no need for a union. If I don't like the way I'm being treated I'll go and get another job. If that's not enough of a threat to my employer then I'm not good enough at my job or I'm not working hard enough.

I'm a public sector worker and I couldn't agree more Scara. I could earn more going private but I get decent conditions. The pension doesn't really bother me as, if you have any sense, you should be solely be relying on that one source of income when you retire.

Not sure why football is a game that you love,it involves people working as a team. I thought tennis would be more up your street they get to play as individuals.

As for comparing unions to terrorists. Unions over the centuries have helped save life. I would recommend you read your history. As for taking people hostage. How about the big business and financial industry? They bring the country down,and then if you ask them for some regulation and accountability,they say they will leave the country.

Yeah I read serious material, you know history, politics, economics, sociology and literature. What I don't read is anything to do with what the latest fashion of the celebrity set is. This is what I find funny. Blair's Labour were the most right wing in British history, but some on here carry on as if they were the Bolsheviks. Happy to bend over and take it? I was on 14k a year running my ****ing backside off for a private company then went to uni and got a job in public sector earning double, this is luxury, more akin to a holiday. Days off whenever etc etc actually sit on my **** allday rather than run about.

Personally I believe that the 1945 Labour Government was catastrophic for the UK. It's irrelevant anyway, as it happened nearly 70 years ago. Scandinavian examples divide opinion, and are hardly conclusive. As for Uruguay, it's a tiny country with a mentalist boss, if the Suarez hullabaloo is any guide. I note that you do not cite Cuba or North Korea as examples of how Socialism really, really works in the 21st Century. Why not?
