CL qualification through strong league form means we're a good team playing well.

Qualification via beating European nobodies and has-beens doesn't really mean much. Especially when we get embarrassed out of the group stage.
Ah yes, and if anyone is wondering why Spurs fans are labelled as deluded look no further :D Yes European nobodies whereas we are European super powerhouses so should be looking down at clubs in this tournament far inferior to us such as Man U, Lazio, Roma, Ajax - what have these teams achieved compared to us? We've qualified for the top 4 a few times over the past couple of decades, just to get knocked out of the thing - doesn't get better than that....

He has destroyed my love of football. I was watching it tonight and it bares no resemblance to football. He is appalling.
If you are that bitter and twisted that you have to spout rubbish like that you probably need to have a word with yourself. What we saw last night was 100% football in that it was aggressive, cagey, and above all it was thought out, hard fought and passionate. Each player played with their heart and head and if you think that wasn't football you're deluded.

With Ange in charge? What's the point?
Agreed re CL.
And PL he's more likely to get us relegated than towards the top.
That said, football is about winning & winning breeds winning.
Win the EL, use it to build under a new manager.
Thank Ange for his efforts and taking us away from the Jose/Conte experiment.

I think it was @Jordinho that said he wants Ange to be "the one before "the one""

It's a weird one. Football matches change people's opinions. If we can win this thing, and we get better players, can we turn the corner and be the team that beats City 4-0 away constantly, or will they be one off games?

If we win it, does he deserve the chance to have at least a shot next season? Probably.

Some games we look great, some, but most we have looked shocking. Maybe it's just a crap season we are having.

Why do I have these doubts suddenly.

I don't think it was me, but someone did. For me the manager/head coach should just be another part of the puzzle, not the one everything is built around. We can't start a new project and rebuild every few years, it has to be an ongoing process and coaches are replaceable, just like players.

Utd are 14th in the PL. Would you use the presence of Crystal Palace to demonstrate the worth of a competition? They're objectively a better team this season.

I'd also like him to go and get some higher level experience at a little club where it doesn't matter, like West Ham or someone, then come back and lead us to glory.

If the EL is a meh competition, we are and always have been, a meh club.

I admire your ambition. But your expectations don't meet reality, with the odd exception, throughout our history.
We've been in the CL more than we've been out of it for our recent history.

I would say a competition like this is significantly below our targets.
