Saw someone make the point about the players relationship with Ange, when was the last player to renew their contract under him?

I think when he leaves we will hear how they didn't like his processes.
He doesn’t do 1 to 1 relationships with the players, he has said that himself. I kind if get the point as its stops you from having favourites but he seems to still play players who shouldn’t be starting due to form like Son for example.

I think you need to have a bit of 1 to 1 to get the best out of someone. I reckon there is atleast 25% of the squad that cannot wait for a new manager to come in.

Talking like its just our fan base that is toxic, look at Uniteds fan base now they are not on top, look at Arsenals fan base when they were brick when Arteta first took over, look at Chelseas now and they are not even doing that badly. Bad form and results upsets the fans this has been a thing for top sides ever since i can remember.

That would make this forum a pretty sparse place if no one ever aid anything that might have been said before.

I do have to ask you would you still have complaints if the repetitive conversations were largely positive of the manager and our current situation?

Yes, repeating the same thing continually does not prove the validity of the view or usually get people to change their mind. I believe Postercoglu must leave, his tactics have not worked and we have had a terrible season, all of which have been stated multiple times. I don't agree how the situation has been handled nor the personalised abuse he gets, I'm a strange sort of person I don't think any manager or player deliberately makes mistakes or plays badly on purpose or to wind me up, I'm not perfect.

I'm glad they do repeat themselves. Humans only consume half of what we read. I need the same content a few times to make it register.

FIFY.

It’s MAGA-like. No matter what the evidence, no questions should be asked, no complaints made. Positivity only please!

Downright weird.

We are no better or worse than any other, fans are brainwashed by the media and expect far more than is possible of their clubs. It's no longer a pastime were we took a brake from our jobs and enjoy the experience it's a media pay day, it's not 30 minutes on Saturday night on TV its 24 hour 365 day over kill.

Couldn't you just read the post a few times rather than read 20/30 post from the same group of people saying the same thing? I suspect you'll have a long nights reading this evening.

The difference is those sides have actually been successful. We haven't even won an FA Cup in over 30 years, yet our fans expectations as a collective is quite something....

I’m not sure most of our fans expect too much.

We are one of the wealthiest sides in the UK; a big club in world footballing terms now; we’ve been told by our chairman that our new stadium was to be “a gamechanger” and that we’d “got our Tottenham back” two summers ago.

So to be languishing in the lower reaches of the PL while playing awful football, and with a manager in charge who has seemed to have it in for his own fan base for quite some time, it feels like a bit of criticism (and moaning) is entirely justified.

I also don’t think we are different to any other PL fan base in that respect, as a quick dip into any forum of other teams will show.

Don't disagree, but the problem is, you're talking as if the toxic environment has only just appeared this season. It's been like this for years, even during Pochs tenure in the end. It's nothing new with our fans, and it's not about what is said in forums that is the real issue. It's the horrible atmosphere in our home stadium, it doesn't help the team at all....

Again I would make the point that that 'brainwashing' is will part of the product being sold. We're told we have the best players, teams and league in the world and are charged a premium for this product.

You do that and the consumers are gonna expect a return. I can think of any product where you can charge a premium but expect the buyer to be happy with inferior value for their purchase compared to similar quality on the market.

You can only do that if the buyer doesn't know what quality is, our society is full of gullible people who buy tat thinking its fashionable or the latest thing, it's all the emperors new clothes.

No issue there, the issue is

- How different would fan behavior be if we had same number of injuries and were 7th right now?

Personally I'm not sure it would be hugely different, maybe Ange would have a little more slack but the general dissatisfaction would still be there.

I think a lot of that is due to the lack of direction and identity. What are we now as a club? Where are we headed? What are the targets?

I think it feels to a lot of fans that we are drifting.
