We only gave up on the league in the last 3 or so weeks. If we'd've concentrated on the league this season we might have scraped 16th.

We gave up on the league this season when we didn't sack the PE teacher from Kes 12 months ago
We'd effectively given up on the league since the knockouts started.

I think some people devaluing this competition should look at the paths we took to, say, the 91 cup win or even our 84 Uefa one...honestly...it makes me grimmace!
I don't think it's people's fault TBH, it's UEFA fault. This isn't the UEFA Cup it was then, the straight knock out alone back then made it a more formidable competition than it is now, the break up and constant reformation of the comps has made sure of that IMO

As for 91, I think the fact the SF is as imfamous of not more famous than the final means that win stands up over any length or test of time

The semi is famous because of who we played and who scored
We were great that day as I remember if as a naive 15 year old

Fulham. Villa and a one shot chance against the best side of the last 10 years in English football.....

But when we beat City 4-0 and Villa 4-1, they didn’t count because we’re brick? I’m just trying to keep up with all the asterisks that people add to our results. Do these teams suddenly count? Oh, that’s right — it’s only when Spurs do something good that it doesn’t count.

No one hates Spurs like Spurs fans.

Ahhhh adding rubbish to add relevance.

Saying a comp is weaker than another is nothing to do with hate, it just called opinion or knowledge

I think the PL is stronger than the EL. I also I think for Palace to win the FA Cup beating Fulham, Villa and Emirates Marketing Project in context of who they are shows a far harder route than us beating AZ, Frankfurt and Bodo........I would say that regardless of it being Spurs or someone else.

If you don't think that, thats fine, but this has nothing to do with w4nked out attacks like "hating your own" or "not wanting to win" or "hoping we lose to stick it to Ange"

Its a discussion of opinions on a football discussion board

For the record I think in order of relevance and hardness to win its:

PL-CL(close)-FA CUP- EL- LC- The other absolutely diminished cup that Uefa are pumping out

Why does the level of hardness need discussion? Who the fudge cares? All I've read about here all week is how it's not going to mean anything if we win it, because all the teams in the competition are brick. It's fudging depressing.

And yes. I stand by it. No one hates Spurs more than Spurs fans. Call it a "tossed out attack" all you like. Every other fudging week there's a protest or some other nonsense going on at Tottenham.

Telling fans how to be fans based on what they discuss........

There is zero corelation between discussions on a fcuking internet forum and how much people love and get behind their club when it matters.

If you think otherwise then you are seriously wrong or just trying to shame people into not discussing things you don't personally like to see discussed

If a fan shows any dissent to the “Ange is great” line you’re on them like a limpet with your contexts and stats. If fans who have a different view to yours, do the same to back up their argument, you dig them out. For someone who decries personal insults on social media your posts are unnecessarily aggressive.

You’re obviously a passionate Spurs fan and because of that, I will always have respect for you. But this way of posting just riles people up.

They beat

Stockport County
Doncaster Rovers
Millwall
Fulham
Aston Villa
Emirates Marketing Project
What is your point here? That Palace had a run in the FA Cup equivalent to ours in the EL? I am not saying our run was easy btw, but I don’t think many will agree it was equivalent difficulty to Palace’s.

I don't mind if someone comes back with a counter and has a civil discussion, but making out that people are just bad fans because they don't agree is ridiculous.

And the claim of "All I've read about here all week is how it's not going to mean anything" is absolutely wild, I haven't seen anyone say that, maybe missed it, but it can't be "ALL" ffs, talk about laying it on

Those same fans who I guarantee, for better or worse are the same fans spending money they don't have to go to the final........
