We all know we are going to win this one to give Ange even more time.

I don’t think Levy is pulling the plug any sooner or later based on a league win or defeat

It seems Ange is going to be judged purely on the Europa

But then again this is so unLevy like. He has sacked much more talented managers for far less.

I genuinely think if it is toxic tomorrow, Wells will be in charge for Thursday.

You talking about the atmosphere at the stadium or are you talking about the game result?

I think it'll be about the Levymeter. If we were to lose and Levy gets hammered (coupled with the demo) and if Ange gets drawn into a response in post-match presser, I could see him getting the boot.

Or munn is in charge of the football side and it's up to him.

This sort of conversation has been going on for far too long … it’s spiralling …. He won’t last

I'd argue challenging for the Europa. I can accept not quite making it but at a minimum we should at least be in the fight for a European place via the league. Anything less is absolute failure.
I sometimes think supporters under estimate our squad. We actually have some very good players, but because of the poor coach they are badly organised and lack motivation. I am convinced that at this level Ange could make any side look poor. I think with a good manager and a couple of decent signings we have a top four side in the wings.

First to be upgraded should be Sonny and Maddison, which won't be cheap but is essential.

Just for the record, although I’ve stated so many times already, I don’t think he’s a good enough coach for us and that we probably should have sacked him November/December. Him cupping his ear and then lying about it does not help him, obviously - and personally, I’ve never really found him as charming as some did. Having said that, I feel for the guy on a human level having to sit there week in, week out having to defend himself. It can’t be easy. At this point, if I were him, I would probably resign. I reckon he might do if we crash out against Frankfurt, unless there is some huge payout if he gets sacked rather than resign - in which case, he can blame himself to a degree for the stick he is getting. Surely he must have lost hope in the project some time ago himself.
Yeah, i actually feel like this too. Ange's performance was sackable months ago. The club's decision to give him the rest of the season has not only written off the season (Europa League pending) but as its descended into more and more toxicity and Ange's behaviour in front of the cameras has deteriorated what this dragged out painful execution is now doing is destroying Ange's reputation and the ability to have another go at this level. At this point, it would be better for everyone concerned for the bloke to be put out of his misery. I really don't understand what the club think they are gaining by allowing this to continue unfolding.

It would appear that is the way it will go, however there might be something weirder than what's already around if it goes south again tomm?

I get it now. I'd forgotten about the demo.

It's a tough situation Levy finds himself in. I'm not getting the comms strategy at the club where there is so much radio silence from Munn. If he is our Chief Football Officer, then why is he not more visible. I genuinely think he is doing great at most things in the new setup but the club seem to be deciding that he's not so available to the media. I have a feeling he might be through the management replacement process though. That is, if there is one. Perhaps that is why they're holding off because Levy or Munn cannot win in any comms at the moment.

I still think there was enough of the less visible and talked about things in football that were there against Chelsea. After the couple of early wobbles, the structure of the side was actually OK. I think that will pay dividends today.

Levy got so much stick when he sacked Jose before the final, so I don't think he will do something similar again. When we get knocked against Frankfurt (which we will) I am hoping Levy will pull the trigger. I also hope he has someone lined up in order they can ascertain what players we need to buy and get rid of in the summer.

So many supporters are making judgement on our players at the moment, but I feel they should judged after they have been coached properly by a good manager

I reckon the club (pushed by Ange’s public statements early on) put so much stock in the “it’s going to be different this time” line that they feel they have to keep up that façade lest there’s yet more ridicule.

Nope, my original post was that a lot of the players are overrated by a lot on here - that's not blaming the players more than the manager at all. Both can be true, I don't think our squad is as good as some like to think. I also don't think we are where we should be and at the end of the day regardless of all the issues that falls on Ange....

Agree with this, I think the squad is good enough for a top half finish - anywhere between 5th and 10th. It's pretty tight around those spots and we should be in the mix. To be below UTD and Everton with their form is criminal.
