I genuinely try to entertain all opinions on the bloke, but be honest, whatever this guy does for us, you're done. So even if we go onto win the Europa, you'd find a way to discredit him. Which makes me wonder where the joy is in this club for you right now?

If you've been in a crap relationship for 2 years, where you've been constantly let down, you dont still think a nice weekend in Southwold will finally make everything right.

I think the players are brilliant, esp Gray, Spence, Sarr, Udogie, Kulu, Bergvall and i suspect Odobert

The idea that he MUST WIN the Europa League or he's fired is laughable.

Willing to bet good money that's not the case. I don't think we'll win it and I'm very confident he'll be our manager to start next season.
Why not?
Think with the draw we have, players coming back and survival virtually guaranteed I think we've got to be looking as one of the favourites.

It’s just such a difficult one to win. So much more to it than who’s better on paper. I think this is the first time in modern history we’re taking it seriously so we definitely have a chance, but I’m keeping expectations low and hope high.

Comparing it to PL games i wouldn't say it's difficult to win.

It's 7 games.
2 legged until the final...so you can have a bad result and still get yourself out of trouble.
No CL drop outs this year is massive.

If we are safe in the PL we really can focus on being rested/rotated for the Thursday night games.

The timing of the returning players might be a massive advantage compared to other clubs. ie virtually 10 fresh players to call on. (Admittedly I don't know other teams situations bar United).

One negative is we are at home first for any quarter or semi final.

Such is the narrative of football.

There must be better things to do?
It’s all a bit of fun really and a distraction from “real” life. None of us want a repeat of this season and there’s a nagging sense (for me and probably others) that regardless of injuries we’ll always be wildly inconsistent with Ange. So I expect more of the same next year if he stays. It’s going to be really interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out. If we win the Europa then the idea of sacking him seems absurd. If we exit meekly to the likes of AZ then it’s thanks and goodbye I’d say.

Not really laughable when we are 12th in the league is it! Our league form has been borderline relegation calibre since those first 10 games from last season.

If he is still manager next season, I despair.
It’s clear as day he’s not up to the job. I do think it’s likely he will be here for the start but i can’t see him lasting the season

I think our chances of winning the Europa League are very low. There are several good teams left in who will cause us all sorts of problems with our current set up. But as @tommysvr says, I do not think Ange's future rests on us winning it anyway.

Levy does seem to have put all his eggs in the Ange basket and I think we can all agree he is seeing out the season regardless. Whether he stays on next season, I think (or at least would hope) rests on whether we see a big improvement in performances, especially against the better teams. As results alone just don't cut it for me. Look at these last 3 wins. It is easy to be blinded by results but the overall performances we still pretty poor imo. We were clinical whereas our opponents were wasteful. That's was the difference, but you cant rely on that always being the case. We are still far too easy to play through and get on top of, regardless of personel.

So that is Ange's challenge for me. With players coming back and a strong bench can we actually control, even dominate games against teams with equal or inferior players? If we can't show good progress towards that for the remainder of the season he should be gone on June 1st.
