It’s an absolute nothing season league-wise for the first time in a very long time. Every other season over the last 20, with a few games to go, we’ve had something to play for aside from the Ramos year where we won a league cup.

Unless we win a cup, it’s been a disaster.

Depends which cup.

Euro gets us CL.

Even if we win the FA cup this season has still been a disaster.

We need CL football.

A complete disaster if we don’t win a cup ….a disaster regardless

If we win our first European cup since 1984, I will beg to differ! But alas, I don't think we will, unfortunately. I do hope we manage to muster up all we can to get some sort of run at it a chance though.

Letting him ruin next season as well will be the real disaster.
Yeah I’ve no faith in the man at all at this point but if we won the Europa and finished somewhere around midtable, it could be a catalyst. You’d have to give him another year or at least the start of next season in that scenario.

If we do that, the mentality could be “it was injuries that fudged us, we just won a trophy and finished the season well. We’re back in the CL. This is something to build on.” And then, who knows.

I don’t think it’ll happen but I’ll keep an open mind.

If what you said above happened they would probably keep him for next season.

But I can tell you by the start of December next season we would be no higher then 12th with this fraud as manager.

There has been talk that ange will be sacked after the next match for over a month. It's more hope on a selection of people than any inside info IMO

As someone on here said, why sack him just before he gets a run of 1 game a week and players back.

Unless he has lost the players, I can't see it

It definitely could happen, as in he stays and we improve....But it's not a guarantee. People who like a certain manager always think they just need more time and it'll work out. But there's not a direct correlation with time spent at a club, and how good results are (I appreciate that is a blindingly obvious statement).

People who bought into the personality / ethos of Ange and guff about "getting our Tottenham back", that consider Conte and Jose panto villains, consider Ange to be the antidote to them and it's just got to work with him eventually. Time and the resulting evidence is definitely straining that almost to the point of cognitive dissonance, but I can sort of understand why. I'm not even necessarily in the ange out camp, I'm sort of ambivalent about it. It doesn't really matter what i think nor which direction the club attempts to go in.

Fire Ange put Mason in, it's a wasted season. Keep Ange to sack him in the summer, it's the same thing. I'm not sure someone could feasibly step in and take this squad to win the EL either...
