If there could be another VDV 'Rabbit out the hat' Levy signing before deadline day who would you love it to be?

Is there another Edgar Davids type player out there we could bring in that would:
a) Make a statement,
b) Have at least a small chance of being signable I.e. no Messi or Ronaldo
c) Be a clear level up from what we have

*Bale aside, as he's already been discussed to death.

Not that I want him but I think the is a slight slight chance of Bale. Think Levy is trying to force the wages down as much as possible and then we sign him on a loan for a season.
