I'm sure we'll be doing Bangin In Your Head and Ain't No Pleasing You

    Ingerlund

Too true. Perhaps one upside is that most of our players will be resting up. The ones that are going might not be on the pitch e.g. Sarr at AFCON. We desperately need a full quota of fit, fresh players for the real start to RDZ's tenure next season. That might just happen.

Would love to hear whether everyone else is going to be on Sunday. Anything to distract from the actual game itself right?

I've planned a "Sundioke" for Cancer Research on Sunday. I play keys and my mate plays guitar. We've got a setlist of 200 songs where anyone can choose from the list and pay to come and sing or play with us. We're doing 2-4pm and then watching the game. We're then back on the instruments until...

    Cristian Romero

Could be training in extreme temperatures, different humidity etc as well in preparation for the World Cup. Still think he should be present in our biggest game though.

    Ingerlund

I would have taken Stones, Guehi, Konsa, Colwill, Quansah. A good blend of different talents, youth and experience. It perhaps missing the impact in the opposition 18 yard box that a Burn or Maguire gives you though.

Wow - Spence made the squad. Didn't see that coming.

    Cristian Romero

But it's an objective discussion though. Kane made his decisions and missed PL games because of that decision. He only started game 3 of that season because of the late conditioning schedule the club were forced to put him on. Cuti is not actually fit for selection but as club captain he should...

    Cristian Romero

Now we're being silly. How can we have a go at Cuti for being in Argentina when Kane couldn't even get his arse back from Miami for day 1 of pre-season. He extended his own summer, then came back and wasn't exactly a shining beacon under Nuno. He just did what he wanted.

    Cristian Romero

I'd love Tim Vickery to be talking nonsense but I actually doubt he is. We'll be shocked to see Romero in a Spurs shirt again. I have a sneaky feeling RDZ is glad he's not around. That allows the emergence of the other leaders in the camp.

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

There is an interesting double click in this category. It wasn't just the overseas students in our education system that created the swell. It was the supplementary spouse and kids, especially coming in from Africa. I remember seeing the Nigeria stats as an example. That loophole has been closed...

Not sure we need a half fit Romero mistiming tackles.

    Pape Matar Sarr

Admittedly, I cannot read anything into the current subs apart from RDZ doesn't seem to want to bring on Gray. He's used Sarr as the main sub in the last one. He used Bergval in the one before that and Bissouma in the one before that. We've seen the starting elevens become a little more...

OK, I know us Spurs fans are nervy about Sunday. Here's a little distraction for you. Pick your 26 man England squad before Tuchel names his tomorrow Pickford, Henderson, Trafford James, Livramento, Shaw, O'Reilly Stones, Guehi, Konsa, Maguire, Colwill Rice, Wharton, Anderson, Bellingham...

    Antonin Kinsky

This makes total sense. Matej Kovar is the current Czech number 1 and there are 2 more keepers that have been on the bench in recent international games. Even if Kinsky displaces one of them then he's unlikely to play in the WC. CZ will then go out at some stage and he'd still need the op...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Yeah, the other thought is what I just put on the other thread. RDZ can look at a core group of players who can be remembered for a EL trophy or relegation. There's only a couple of players who haven't been part of both journeys so using that as motivation should be possible for RDZ.

*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

How can it be unconscious bias when everyone has been talking about this for years now? Do PGMOL live in a vacuum where they've never had a discussion if unconscious bias is a thing or not in their organisation. That in itself would be absolutely shocking. I think the right work is...
