On the plus side, we're moving the ball really well, and have created quite a bit already.

Kudus' foul moments earlier - where he was thru on goal - was far less than the challanange on Odobert. Done by the ref .

Thought Mclaren/ Norris missed a massive oppotunity. Rain on the track whilst the red flag and clear up took place, what do McLaren do? Send out Norris first!! Why! Redbull far more canny sending both cars out last. So the cars in front dried out the track. Didn't hear anyone on the commentry...

Fuking ref. No foul by Kudus, then a much bigger push on Odobert. Saved by offside!?

Okay yes, would need to watch it back. Was it us moving the ball quicker first half, or them giving us more time? For me, second half they seemed to let us have the ball along the back line. But who knows, I have a memory of a gold fish at the moment :tearsofjoy:

The Bournmouth game is an interesting comparison. As I thought first half that played out: Villarreal tried to replicate what Bournmouth did. And we were ready with improved movement of the ball, and we made a much better go of working the ball around their press. Second half players, as...

When a side score early, it often makes them a bit tame. Its a sign of us needing to develop: both a mentality and the playing structure. So regardless of the score, we have a secure way of playing. Did anyone think we'd be a polished side right out the box? After dramatically changing the way...

South Americans my bad. Still lost. Yes I thought they were more comfortable on the ball, at least first half. Second half the confidence dropped after the flurry of missed passes, and we never regained control. First half I thought we actually did well playing out at times. Much more to come of...

We are trying to play fast breaks, and when it doesn't come off, everyone looks stupid. When it isn't clicking, I'd like to see us also use the space in midfield that opens up when the runners are tracked. Sometimes an extra pass in the middle can make the difference.

Im lost. Thank you for paying attention :) I did. But whats your point? :)

We're playing in a new way, trying to break quickly, and it wasn't coming off. We needed to get closer and play out a bit more slowely until we were in sync and had some control.

Have a look on Opta https://theanalyst.com/articles/tottenham-vs-villarreal-stats-opta-champions-league-09-2025 Romero has fewer misplaced passes than Poro, and one more than VDV.

One certainally. I don't think he missed many passes. Richarlison (and others) far more guilty of this imo. Clean sheet and not a shot on target suggests otherwise. If you'd said: we need to work on transition and how we play out - then I'd agree. But to single out Romero is a bit of witch...

He had a poor clearance that led to a shot. And a poor pass that led to a shot for them. Anything else?

But Romero had a stinker apparently.

Watch it back. He had a poor clearance - it wasn't a pass. He had one attempted long pass that was intercepted that I can remember. Can you describe others he didn't make? Frank wants him to make long passes to set us free on the break. It will come. Didn't Romero get an assist recently with...

One bad pass. When there were a flurry around the side. Pick out Richarlison for his many poor passes or Romero for his one poor pass? Agenda.

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

To pick him out as the guy who missed passes - I didn't see that tonight. In the first half he was fine, and second there was that one long pass of his that didn't connect. It is clear we're trying to break fast. But its not there yet. Until we're flowing on the break we could do with building...

I don't think he was as bad as some in possession. There was one pass where Romero tried a long pass forward and it went straight to a yellow shirt who stepped forward. But Romero is so much better with the ball than others like Richarlison and even VDV. But some clearly have an agenda against...
